Switching halogen bulbs to led.

21’ gladiator rubicon. Can just the bulbs be purchased without any diode or flashing the chip. I am confused. Have seen some videos and it appears it can be done. Looking to change the headlights, fogs, running, turn signals and back up lights.
If so, any recommendations as to which brand?

Yes you can go with led bulbs in the all lights. I converted all the lights on the truck. Headlights bulbs I went with headlight revolution sv4. They were a little pricey but they have been excellent for me. Fender and taillights I bought bulbs off amazon and they have been great.

I replaced the headlights with LED lights and all the others with bulbs from Amazon too. I only had one problem when I got too fancy with the stop light bulbs. I bought ones that flashed three times before going solid like many 3rd brake lights. However every time I used the turn signal and then braked the computer thought the turn signal bulb was bad and I got the message on the dash. Issue fixed when I switched to standard stop / tail light bulbs.

Had someone back into the JT and destroy the drivers side non led taillight assembly. Got these from CJ Offroad. https://www.cjponyparts.com/taillig...nses-led-glow-bars-jeep-gladiator/p/TLLED164/ Way happy and they have different models of these. Smoked this and that. Complete plug and play. No warnings or cautions on the display. 3 minute replacement job to boot. Made in China but what isn’t these days. Bright reverse light. $188 a pair. New halogen replacement was going to be at least $130 so what da hell. Very cool sequential turn signals just as shown in their video. We will see how long long they perform. IMO a great LED upgrade.

Did all of this about a month ago, nearly same result. Everything worked well except the brake/tail light. Computer thought my rear turn signal lights were out. I just switched back to the halogen brake lights and returned the leds.

Very happy with the switch. One thing to note, check your high beams before reinstalling the headlight housing to be sure you have the leds in right. I'm glad I checked as it saved me some time as my high beams initially went straight down (I had installed upside down).

Oh, one thing , with swapping out the entire headlight there is only one way to put them in. They are specific for each side.

Nice tail lights I’m curious to know how the hold up. I’m definitely interested if my bulbs were to go I wouldn’t mind buying a set of those.
