21 Overland - Upgraded tires review

Just swapped out the stock 255-70-18 Dueler HTs for some new Falken Wildpeak AT in size 275-65-18. I like the stock Overland wheels and didn't want to increase size and mess with recalibration, etc. at least not yet. I have to say the Falkens are really nice. No noise from the switch. A little "firmer" or more positive ride, but very nice. I love the switch and love the look of the ATs over the minivan look of the Duelers. Plus the wider tire fills out the space better - tires come right the edge of the fenders. If you are thinking of switching to the Falkens - don't hesitate, i highly recommend them. Great tire and looks great on the Gladiator.

I love the Wildpeak AT3W's on my Overland too. I went a bit bigger with a 295/70r18 but agree the tires are quiet, but a bit stiffer.

Looks great man! I see your tires are almost 12” wide, they fit just fine on the stock wheels? I’m actually digging somewhat of a “pizza cutter” look so hoping to find something a little thinner

Right on, this size struck the balance for me at ~34.5x11.5. 12.5" wide tires are technically out of spec for a 7.5" wheel and would probably rub. They for sure are, and look wide on the stock rims.

The narrow option i liked the most was the 35x10.5r18 but the only tire I could find in that size was the Kenda Kelver RT.

I purchased these the Cooper AT3 XLT 315/70/17 on the BR Abrams 17" and think they will be Fantastic when 'The Sgt. Major' arrives at Dealer in a week or so.

I will try to get pics up soon - wife is driving it now. Funny she didn't really think the Jeep Gladiator was a good idea, "too bouncy, too loud, not comfortable, not practical, etc." but now she says she is shocked at how much she really likes it. The wheel base which makes the ride really nice and comfort of the interior finally won her over once I brought it home. Now she wants to take it everywhere!

Yep good tires. So good in fact t put them on my wife’s chevy traverse 2wd. Hahaha. But we live where it can be snowy and Ivey and wet. So her suv looks pretty cool for an suv. Me I am running. 37 bfg ko2 on mine.

Yep, I will-Will probably have dealer take some pics of before so I can take after unless I can get down before they start to work on it. Only an hour away.
