I'm not sure if this has been talked about but our temperature gauge is seldom right. Today the wife gets in after work and its 36 degrees out. The truck when started says 52. This has happened most days and affects the heated steering wheel and seats on colder days.
Anyone else experience this or know of a problem with it?

Depending on where the sensor is, direct sun even in cold weather can heat the area around the sensor, giving a false reading until enough free air from driving gets a correct temp reading. I have noticed this on sunny cold days, a few minutes of driving, and the temp reading seems correct.
Cheers

Yeah this is what I thought too but it never happened to our Ram that we had. It just seems more of a larger temp difference.
