I'm on vacation in North Carolina and my dealer in Indiana calls me and says I can pick up my Gladiator. It has been killing me wishing I had the Jeep this week anyway because we are just a couple of miles down the road from being able to take the Jeep on the beach and see wild horses and now knowing it is waiting on me, arrrrrr. And let me tell you Jeeps are popular on the OBX. They are everywhere.

I bet that's tough! Just be patient and enjoy the vacation, especially if it's a family vacation. That is unless you have a slippery dealer that will sell your JT out from under you and in that case ditch the family and B line it back to Indy ASAP

Been to Corolla a couple of times. Absolutely loved it. Yeah, the JT would be a great fit for loading up the gear for the beach. Yeah, that didn't help . . . sorry!

We recently vacationed over in the carolla area and it was prime Jeep territory, one day we drive it all the way from the fence to the ferry. There was a big Jeep get together at the same time and the streets were crawling with everything from cj3 through gonzo build JK’s.

Can’t wait to go back.

Yeah, the family is renting a house right on the beach in Corolla. Ten rooms and an elevator.

13 hours there and 13 back plus time to futz with the dealer and endure that never ending last chance to buy a third party warranty game, that a pretty grueling turn around.

I’m gonna rub my magic 8-ball here and say it wasn’t aired down enough, on street tires and had an automatic that they tried to free with Moar loud pedal and then once the plastic transmission cooler fittings in the transmission gave up it vomited a lot of very hot ATF onto some very very hot exhaust parts and that was that.

At least once a season an auto transmission Jeep burns on the beach up here for exactly that reason. They are afraid of getting washed out so they stay up in the dry sugar sand and bad bad things happen.
