I have the opportunity to upgrade my 7 inch Uconnect to 8.4. The Jeep is in a local junk yard and was totaled. My question is it a plug and Play once I remove my old one? Also where do I get the security code to hook it up? Thanks
You need to contact a dealer with the numbers on the radio. Or there are services on eBay that can provide the code given the numbers on the radio.
It would not hurt to record the VIN of the donor, but my understanding is that the VIN is not necessary to get the security code.
