You'll want to use reinforcing wire clips to make it stronger.

It is part of the flare. In the image below you are looking straight in at the piece you have.

Yeah. Thats what I was thinking. Thank you. I’m not buying a new painted flare. That’s ridiculous. I don’t know why they did us like this

Success will vary with the type of "plastic" that it is. Been down that road hundreds of times. One example is the material on my car's fender flares - it simply can't be repaired with anything - not plastic welding, not any adhesives or solvents, nothing.
One one vehicle I had, there were a half-dozen different plastics and vinyls used just in the dash area. Some could be repaired - for a while - using professional kits from Eastwood, etc. - but sometimes the cracks came back.

I've had good luck finding a similar or same material and using a soldering iron to merge them all together with heat.
But then I deal often with parts you can't buy at any price, so - I try pretty much everything on those cases.
I’ll do what I can. My lunatic ex wrecked it a long time ago and I was tired of that fender being droopy. I should be fine. I’ll weld it back together and put plastic weld over it.

I’m taking the time to make my Jeep nice again while I’m waiting on parts. My paint hasn’t shined like this in years. I did a lot of wet sanding, compounding and polishing and plastic rejuvenating. I had to scrub that plastic to get it to take the back to black. It’s been well taken care of mechanically but it’s been my work horse the last few years and hasn’t had anything but occasional washes.

It ain’t pretty, but I put like 20 staples in it and welded almost a stick of that plastic weld stuff into it. It’s seems strong.

Now I have to figure out where it goes back on. I know roughly where it goes, but I haven’t figured out how it goes on yet. lol
