Going to debadge my white JTRD.

I am a fan of a stealth OEM look but the red highlights have to go! I know people like the red tidbits and I think that’s great.

has anyone had any luck painting or re coating the tow hooks? Please share!

while I have you all. Has anyone replaced the black oxide torx bolts on the OEM rubi winch bumper with stainless torx bolts? I think it might look good.

Painted mine with appliance enamel (white). Covered the red in 4 or 5 really light coats. Then 2 heavier ones to make them smooth. No red to be seen.

almost all stainless bolts are much lower strength than carbon steel.

I have seen videos where people have repainted them, but I can't imagine any painting done would survive a single use. I really would like to paint my rear ones but am afraid they will look worse pretty quickly when the coat I put on starts to come off.
