I've run the front diff as it comes from Jeep and now I'd like to make a plan to install a switchable front locker. I've seen a few builds on here where folks state they installed a front E-locker, but I'm not seeing a documented build for review. Whether it's an Eaton e-locker, an ARB or an OX, I'd love to review someone's build where they have already done this. Ideally, I could integrate the installation of a front locker to be compliant to the can-bus system with Lasfits OEM style dash plates for front and rear locker control. I've also considered that there might be an advantage to independent front and rear control. I guess I'm a tad overwhelmed about where to start with this process. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Haven't added a front locker but having owned 2 Rubicons the last thing I'd want is to integrate it into the canbus so that it's limited by the dumb factory setup. Maybe you want to use the locker in 4HI. There have been several off camber climbs where locking the front only is more stable and controlled. When the sensor went out on our front locker I wired a simple 12v switch and found myself using the front far more often than the rear.

I chose to totally bypass any jeep input for reasons already stated above. I haven't got the front arb installed yet, as Im waiting for RCV's, but my rear air locker is able to be locked whenever I decide, at any point. There to many times where only being able to lock in four low is not acceptable. Its also pretty much instant as far as lockup. FWIW go elocker, or air, and just setup your own harness. You could still use the factory aux group if you wish to activate it.
