I have a freshly rebuilt 8274 I'm going to add to my glad shortly, it has steel cable that is brand new but I'm thinking maybe I'd swap that for synthetic. Seems originally they carried 150' of steel cable, how much synthetic have yall been putting on your spools? Can you buy the synthetic by the foot or only pre determined lengths?

Thanks all

I purchased 147 foot of 12mm/half inch synthetic from Amazon for my rebuild about six years ago.
