Loved the Canadian Rockies.

Once this COVID s**t stops, we'll make it back up there. Went in '16 and enjoyed Banff, Jasper, Lake Louise, etc. I want to see more of the Icefield Parkway; we drove up to Jasper at oh-dark-thirty so missed a lot. We visited the Athabasca Glacier at dawn. Hiked Edith Cavill or whatever hike is there. Saw some idiots below some glacier ice.

Is it me, or do a lot of Alberta folk not know how to drive the speed limit? There's like a 40mph swing in traffic speed between the slow pokes and the fast people. That's a lot.

2 years later I’m seeing this thread.
That looks like an excellent trip and you are right that the pictures don’t do it Justice.
In all my years trying to capture the beauty of my outdoor trips the pics don’t do it like being there.
I just got my gladiator in early May ā€˜23 and our plan is to get out for overnighters at least once a month. We’ve done two so far and once it cools down a little we’ll be getting out to the yellow post sites on a regular basis.
We Can’t wait til thanksgiving when the desert season starts either. The Mojave is a blast out in the desert.
