Or just install another set behind the tires.
I like his idea - wish I could put a pair up front................ darn stuff flies forward to the bumper and what goes between the fender and bumper blows back onto my windshield.

I bought this set:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07W3KKQBF

Worked great after doing repairs to my fender. You do NOT need a special tool to install a new plastic rivet.

I just used a pair of pliers in a careful way to lever the pin out. It was very easy. I think I just used a wood block as a fulcrum. Put the video above has other ideas. Honestly, not hard at all. It's soft plastic. Once the pin is pull out enough, it locks into place. If the pin does break off nice and clean, then you just a utility knife to clean it up and you are done.

And for us Jeep owners, that kit is great because it's all the pieces for our fenders that you might break, and it's under $10.

Yeah, tried the YT tricks before I bought the tool. Never did set the POM rivets right before the things broke off. Needs perpendicular pull or it stresses the middle and snaps before the rivet is 100% set. Been there, then went to HF and bought the tool.
Not sure why people resist spending the really super-cheap price for a tool Jeep owners will use more than once in a lifetime, but I guess that's YT - spend more time to save 20 bucks.
And with the HF tool you get rivets.......... so I felt silly spending 3 times to time to set a rivet while the tool did it in a fraction of the time and was a clean install every time.

You have a link for the HF tool you got? When I was in the store last year, it wasn't very obvious to me which tool would do the job. Maybe they didn't have it in stock.

I collect tools. It's the ONLY thing I do collect. So I'm not against buying it, but at the time, it seemed like a once in a lifetime need so I was willing to gamble on saving the money.

Third time's a charm. Finally done. So after I installed the 2 mudflaps backwards I noticed one mud flap was missing. It fell off on my way to work. So i drove with 2/3 mud flaps for a week. I noticed that most of the water and dirt is being taken care of by the front mudflaps. But I wanted the stock look and I'm glad this is finally over.
