So i have 4997ish miles and have noticed a smell of burning oil like and smoke coming from the right side of the engine bay, see it wafting in front of the headlight, and it has a strong smell around the air intake. This does not happen all the time, have noticed it 2 times so far. I changed the oil and while under there looked for an obvious leak, with nothing visible below or on top of the right side.
Any known issues that anyone has heard of related to this?

Thank you all for some great forum reads

I would remove your engine cover and start poking around. Look at the hot things, aka exhaust headers and pipes, cylinder heads ect.. maybe it's a crank breather hose that popped off, but generally if you see and smell smoke, you have a problem that needs to be located asap. I assume this is the gas motor? NM- Mojave = gas

You can also pop the hood, have the engine cover removed and let the thing idle for 20 minutes keeping an eye on things, that should get things hot enough to smoke and help you locate the issue.
