So the first time it happened was about 7k miles ago on a camping trip. I was about 3 hrs from home almost at the Oregon border using cruise control and all of a sudden the engine almost went to limp mode. Check engine light comes on, the electronic stabliity control light comes on, and then my gas pedal doesnt seem to work. I pull over turn it on and off and all is well. Take it to Stoneridge Jeep they cant find anything and I get my 2nd oil change which was a nightmare in its own. Fast forward to today Im on 80 headed to Tahoe and Im on cruise for about 2 hrs and 150 miles into my trip. All of a sudden it starts to decelerate and check engine comes on stablity control comes on and gas pedal kinda works but not really. Pull over turn it off and on and everything but the check engine light goes off. Get up to speed for about 5 mins everything is fine hit cruise and then 10 seconds later electronic stability light and gas pedal goes array. Turn it off let it sit for 5 mins start it up check engine light comes up but nothing else and I get to truckee about 45 miles away. I get on 89 and hit cruise at 50 mph and it works all the way until traffic stops about 6 miles away with no problems. Still have the check engine light on. So after I go to Reno and maybe hit Rubicon on the way home I will see if the light stays on and if so go to the dealership. I pulled the fuses and everything looked ok. Any ideas?

That does sound pretty wonky! Sorry you are dealing with that. I've had some electrical issues as well. Frustrating having spent almost 60k on my Mojave. I have not had those specific (cruise control related) issues. But I have had the stability control lamp pop up along with a check engine light before for no apparent reason. From reading these forums and my own experience, the batteries (main and aux) are sometimes behind random electrical issues. Not always, but enough that most folks advise to test them to make sure the voltage is not low and they are still good. It would be good to rule them out as the source first.

Curious if your vehicle does this without the cruise control if you drive it for a while. If it doesn't, perhaps that could signal an issue issolated to the cruise control. Did you or the dealer happen to pull any codes from the check engine light?

He has a diesel. I've been seeing it more and more. I've had it happen multiple times throughout my cross country road trip. Once I was home, dealer replaced the DPF.

I don't believe this is a solution to the underlying issue, just a fix for the symptom of it. Unfortunately I don't have much advice on this. I have fully lost confidence in my truck. ☹

Drove it hundred miles today check engine light went out. No problems. Used cruise on the way back. Worked fine

Forgot to mention It showed Electronic throttle control and EOBD/INJECTION SYSTEM FAILURE.

Dang, that is head scratching! I have seemingly solved my electrical issues for now, but I have some anxiety every time I drive - whenever I hear a beep or tone, my heart rate jumps as I look at the dash and think, "now what?" :swear:

I was hoping someone with the exact issue as you have would have chimed in by now. My sense is some of the JL/JTs have electrical issues. Alot around the battery system, and then also various gremlins around the PDC/fuse box, loose fuses (as you've tried already), wiring harness issues, can-bus problems, and defective relays in the PDC. I had the dreaded "Service Transmission Continue in D do not shift or turn engine off" message. Limped home and then would not move after that. Turned out to be a large/main wiring connecter behind the front passenger fender liner on the firewall that alot of systems communicate through. Apparently, in the jumble of wires, there was one positive power lead to my transmission control module that was reading ok voltage, but would not carry any amperage. Tech had to build a "jumper" to bypass that one wire. That's the crap we are having to deal with. I found my answer here:

https://www.jlwranglerforums.com/fo...do-not-shift-or-turn-engine-off.104780/page-2

Luckily my jeep dealer's tech was good enought to find this on his own as well.

Hoping maybe you have the same luck in your searches.
