Pretty sure it isn’t made but I need to rig something up.
Who else besides me drives during the sloppy seasons and uses their windshield wipers? The windshield is nice and clean but all that road slop is now blanketed across the driver and passenger windows and you’re constantly having to clean off the side windows so you can see your side mirrors.
It doesn’t take much time or distance and that wiper crap is on the side windows and if the sun hits the window just right, you can’t see the mirror. Now then there is one auto maker that I know that does make this windshield side trim piece that prevents what I just described. It’s the Tacoma. I had the 2017 model and drove it 3 years until I collided with an elk early last October and wrote off the truck. I never thought anything of my always clean side windows until, thanks to Toyota, I got into the gladiator. (What a massive improvement!) In fact, whenever I needed to replace the taco windshield, they would ask if there was a trim piece. It was a $40 part. I’ve asked the windshield company if any trim exists for the gladiator and they said NOPE. The trim keeps the crap off the side windows sending the stuff up top at highway speeds or down low when driving city speeds.
Any ideas?
