So fellow plowmen, in attempting to organanazize the garage over the last few days to start making ready for future adventures now that rough country decided to ship the one remaining part of a project. Well... I had the opportunity to put all my beacons in one place.
Long story short I've had the big aerodynic on about 3 trucks plus the jeep, a buddy bought a truck that had the baby aerodynic be has no use/need/imagination and was gonna bin it and I was like OMFG NO!! but it's been something like 3 years in coming to me as his project sat a while. In the mean while I got the Solaris LED Vector 7 head AND 3 head for 50 bucks at a yard, with about a mile of leads. Hard to turn that deal down, only catch was I had to take them off. Not show is my sho-me 60w xenon strobe kit which was a pull out from a lease returned S-klasse attached to some consulate/embassy in NYC nearly 20 years ago. Plan there is to mount all 4 heads in one of the bars as "alley lights" as neither aerodynic has very strong lateral warning. I had thought for a moment to put them in my plow lamps but I hate that with a burning passion when it's oncoming to me. Some guys go gonzo despite strobes being less than ideal in snow. My LED strobes have a decent dwell time so they don't flash freeze the flakes but xenons in headlamps would make me want to kill.
So the running joke has been how can I mount them all at once for the ridiculously ridiculous amber package, think spy like us, while not being ridiculous, if you follow.
