Pros and cons of each. I will be mounting a RTT using low profile rack or bars using the t slot rails. I’ve looked and read all I can find. Looking at max mod racks. Xtrusion overland racks. And go rhino xrs bars. Not sure if the low profile will work best with X4S but roll n lock definitely shortens the rack length and leaves about 7” of wasted space. Thoughts. Anyone got this setup with pics. Thanks.

Also does anyone know the height difference between the two bed covers. Seems that I read where the rollnlock loses some of the height in the bed. I really have no room to spare.

I don't have either yet (just ordered my roll n lock), so don't quote me, but from pictures and discussions on this forum, the info I gathered was:
BAK X4s: 17.5" under tonneau
Roll-n-Lock: 16" under lowest part (look for post "roll n lock installed" for great pictures with tape measure)

Neither one worked perfectly for me. I need 18" min and would prefer 19-20" to more easily fit my favorite Lifetime cooler. Once I get the roll-n-lock in and installed and use it for a bit, I might try raise the tonneau up a few inches using some 80/20 and custom brackets.... we'll see. or just make a little rack that sits above my tonneau to hold the cooler and an ActionPacker.

Cool. Thanks. Where did you order the roll n lock? Was it in stock? I like the retractable covers better but I really wanted t slot rails to run the length of the cover and I hate to lose real estate. I got a rtt but it will be in the garage more than the jeep. Once the x4s is on I’m afraid you will not be able to roll it up with racks and rails in the way. I have a basket already from my Jl I can use for items that won’t fit under the cover.

Bought my roll n lock from tonneaucoversworld.com on Wednesday and it arrived Sunday. Will install later this week I hope.

Yeah, i wanted a retractable tonneau to keep it easily open-able with a rack above it. We’ll see…
