I have some of those - used them on my TJ installing heat insulation on lines that run close to the exhaust. They work like you'd expect, perfect in a high heat application.

Glad to see this thread still alive. Zip ties are one of my favorite topics
But seriously - those look just like what was on the headers holding the - gasp for breathe, - asbestos wrap..
These days the under-hood temps get pretty hairy so good choice there, too.
(and my 360 with headers - makes you feet sweat just sitting in the car, need to wrap those or put some insulation under the carpet)
