Hi folks,
Newbie here. I have recently purchased a Punk’n Metallic Willys Sport with an awful stock audio system. It came with the 7” Uconnect in the dash and the non-amplified speakers. It has to be upgraded immediately.
I’m selling my 2018 RAM 1500 and thankfully much of the aftermarket system can be repurposed for the new Gladiator build.
Existing or repurposed equipment:
-Stock 7” Uconnect
-PAC AP4-CH41 (R.2) with Toslink out and t-harness
-750W/2ohm mono sub amp under front seat
-6 channel DSP amp under the other front seat for dash, mids, and rear fill soundbar (or party mode)
-Wide bands front dash
-6’ mid bass drivers in the knee location
-6x9s for the soundbar
-All 4 and 6-gauge power wire, fuse holders, speaker wire and interconnects
-Sound deadening for the floor
This is the equipment I’m thinking about for the rest of the design/build:
-Metra Under hood Fuse Holder Bracket
-Metra Under Seat Amp Brackets
-Metra Speaker Pods and grills for the mids in the dash knee location
-Metra 6x9 adapters for soundbar speakers
-STINGER UNDER SEAT DUAL 8" CUSTOM FIT SUBWOOFER ENCLOSURE
I believe this approach will keep my cost down and provide good bang for the buck performance which is my goal. I will attempt to tune the system myself using the AudioFrog’s guide for tuning.
Advice will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
