I use extruded aluminum to build machines at work and took some inspiration from a build I seen on here and some others I had seen online and built my own drawer system with a water tank against the cab. I used an electric ball valve to open or shut off the tank and rigged up a safety where my water pump can’t be switched on without it being open. I ran my lines from the pump to quick connects so that I can run water to my sink or to a water heater for showers. The drawer on the left is my kitchen drawer. I used a folding rv faucet and collapsible sink to try and be as conservative with space as possible.
Above the sink is a utensil drawer. I also wanted plenty of counter space for food prep so I used coffee table lifts for the biggest part of the drawer so I still had plenty of storage without sacrificing the counter space. I used ambrosia maple on the drawer faces and ambrosia maple with a strip of walnut for the countertop. I have also put rechargeable under cabinet lights on the bottom of the lifting section so that I can easily see everything at night when I need to grab something.
The drawer on the right is just a big storage drawer for all my gear and tools I like to keep on hand. I used 500lbs locking slides on both drawers and I should never have to worry about overloading them. The drawers are made out of 3/4 maple plywood and the top deck is made out of 1/2 maple plywood. I used raptor liner to coat the inside and outside of the drawers and the top and bottom of the top deck so that it can handle plenty of abuse.
If there’s enough interest I may consider building custom drawers systems like this for sale and if I do that then I will do a write up with the step by step process.
