Love my Mojave and have finally finished a lot of the build.

My buddy Ronnie and I have had a blast building my Mojave so far. The difference from the first few trips before the build and the trip last weekend after the build was incredible. The chopped fenders with the massive and very aggressive Yokohama XMT 37"x13.5" tires and the added confidence of a beast of a skid system made all the difference in the world. I was determined to find a way to BAJA mount my spare tire and so my buddy Jason helped me fabricate an awesome spare tire mount integrating it with the Maximus-3 Sport Rack. I probably over did the mount using 8lb per foot 6" channel iron which equates to approx. 1/4". I told him we may get lots of request for them...lol. I was told you couldn't use the Maximus-3 Sport Rack and keep my Mopar bed cover but I was able to do some cutting and modifications and made it work. It is not water proof but it wasn't before either.
I have had lots of compliments from various folks but want to hear what Fellow Gladiators think about it...let me know!!

It's definitely improved since our winter snow trip. The back to back runs at hidden falls show what an improvement 37s are for the mojave.

The fact that you didn't have to change suspension is very impressive. You had no rubbing on the runs I thought you would have.

Can't wait to spend more of your $$$$

Thanks. No it won't flip forward after the first flip. I think of it more as a trunk that locks for now. Going to keep my eye open for a retractable one that I might be able to go with. I was willing to sacrifice that for now. For large load hauling I have a 3/4 ton Chevy. This is my toy.

Did you re-gear after adding the 37's? If not how does it ride with 37's and stock gearing?

I have not re-geared but plan to soon. If I don't look at the tach or the gear indicator it is fine ...lol... I don't see 7th and 8th as much and spend more time up around 3000 RPM which of course reduces my gas mileage. If I had bought it this way I would not think anything of it but I drove it stock for 6 months before the build so I notice these things. It's not quite as zippy as it was. If money were a barrier I would be fine keeping it as is but the $1600 to re-gear isn't a problem so I will go ahead.

I am running 37’s on a 3.5” lift and I re-geared to 5.13’s and it’s is great. On the highway I rarely fall out of 8th gear and cruise around 2400 rpm at 77 mph. Really great on the trail as well.

Your Baja Designs light bar bolt right up to the Rock Hard tabs or did you have to do a modification?

Thanks, so many of those light bars don't give the dimension you actually need for install.
I was thinking I might have to make a mounting plate out of 2" aluminum flat stock and punch some holes and paint.
