I made the same decisions knowing that this was going to be a memory vessel for me while my kids are young. We are taking our time building this jeep out in order to meet our long term goals. I go through vehicles very quickly and I'm hoping to make this one last me for the next 7-10 years.

Next up: wheels. I have some decisions
to make. I made a quick 5 min mock up to envision what I’m getting myself into.

I hear you on the wheels. It took a months to get my Analog HDs in but man they were so worth it once they finally showed up.

I had a similar idea but did mine in Gator.

I’ve been waiting and waiting on my wheels as parts have been stacking in my garage. I was told I would have the analog HD’s in feb, then it became March and then April, and then may and now June. It’s a big decision as I’m going to keep this truck for a long time as a reminder of our family travels. I really want to wait for the analogs and paint them gobi. But I’m tempted to get the build going now. The turbo Mac’s in black just came back in stock. I might pull the trigger.

You have a very nice build. How is the mid height bush guard? It’s been on my mind.
Does it interfere with the trail cam view?

Also, I think I’m taking the plunge on painting the turbomac classic in gobi. The lead time on the analogs isn’t lining up with my travel plans.

Thanks man. Honestly I like the brush guard from warn, and while it does show up on the camera it’s not blocking much.

my biggest gripe is the poor quality of the coating on the guard. This is my second one, first was replace as it started rusting within about a month of it on the truck. This one is rusting even worse and still waiting on Northridge4x4 to get back to me on replacing this one as well. I haven’t even opened my truck for a year and both of the bars started rusting at the welds right away. Pretty disappointed with Warn on the coatings they have on it. Northridge4x4 has been great though

Updated on new teraflex suspension lift after my first 100miles. I installed the falcon 3.3 shocks and went 3.5” lift earlier this week. I contemplated getting all eight arms swapped over. But I decided on brackets over arms, as I’m not planning on taking trials that require a lot of crawling. The brackets that I chose were all from teraflex. 1. Front lower and upper control arm brackets 2. front and rear track bar brackets.

I’m happy with them. The caster in the alignment report is at 4.6 and the ride of the truck feels like a massive improvement from the stock rubicon. (I’m sure the extra volume in the tires help improve the ride quality as well)

Next up for the suspension mods is to do research on how to keep the rear from sagging with a permenant 500lb load in the bed.

I’m thinking I may need a rear spacer or airbags to help support the DIY drawer system, 75L fridge, lithium battery and topped off with a super pacific camper bed.
