WOW! That's my kind of off-roading right there!
Not there to test the limits of the machine, but see what others can't get to see.
Well done!
Thank you Lunen.
Our car didn’t have any modifications, we just replaced four AT tires for this trip.
As you said, what we care more about is the fun of traveling and sharing fun things and scenery with everyone.

Great video!! Tibet and Nepal are on my list to see before I croak.

Can you elaborate on the weight limits/reason for the produce haul?

What a fantastic looking trip. I appreciate you sharing your adventures with us. Looks like everything went well.....except for the occasional drone crash lol. Waiting on the day I do that with mine but so far I have managed not to do that. 🙂

Hi Steve, the government has a preferential policy for farmers called ‘green lanes’, which means they can enjoy free highway access when transporting fresh agricultural products.
At the toll station, they will check the weight of the truck and confirm whether the truck bed is full of vegetables, which is what the staff did when they took pictures of me in the video (vegetables need to account for at least 80% of the bed volume)
Our gladiator is considered a light utility truck, so we can also take advantage of this policy to save money
But we brought too much luggage, changed to heavier AT tires, and had to bring so many vegetables, so we need to pay special attention to the problem of overloading.
Because if the overload is greater than 5%, you will not be able to enjoy this discount and may be fined. This does not specifically refer to the cargo you carry, it is simply because no truck can be overloaded.

Lol, man... I think everyone who uses a drone is waiting for the first time they go home with only the remote control:CWL:
You know, sometimes obstacle avoidance systems just fail.
In fact, I'm not too worried about it in plain areas because I know it can return on its own most of the time.
But when we were on the plateau, I was really afraid of losing the signal because the maximum return altitude of our drone was about 1640ft... many times it wasn't even high enough to get over the mountain.
Coupled with the low temperature and strong wind...every time we take off, we pray that it will return safely.

Yeah I'm sure it's just a matter of time. I've had a couple of close calls where my obstacle avoidance did not recognize something but that's just part of it. I have not flown at your altitude but boy that is a awfully high RTH altitude. I'm not sure what the regulations are there but we are only allowed 400 ft above takeoff altitude. I did lose signal once and it scared the crap out of me but it did return home LOL. I've also flown in cold weather and wind a few times. I had to abort my flight once because my Air2S couldn't maintain location because the gusts were so high so I just landed instead of crashing. Really loved the video and would enjoy an adventure like that and get it on film. Only thing I've done close to that was a multiple day Harley ride in the Blue Ridge Mountains with my Nephew. Got some great drone footage.
