Really wish they would make these babies E85 compatible. That stuff is $3 gallon here. compared to just over $4.50

Has Chrysler/Fiat ever made E85-compatible cars? Used to seeing them only in Fords and Chevy's

Isn’t the downside of E85 worse MPGs? Not sure the price difference of MPGs between the two would break even for a tank?

Rams used to have an E85 option. Not sure if they still do. My son has a 2016 and it has the E85. Unfortunately, not gas stations sell it only about 5 cents cheaper than regular. You definitely lose MPG. Around 15% if I remember correctly. If one get get it at $3 vs $4.50, that's a deal. At a 5 cent discount, you're losing money.

isnt e85 higher octane? wonder if you could tune to e85 and get bigger HPs since its lower MPG.

It's much higher octane. That's why tuners like it because they can run much more aggressive timing and up the boost without causing early detonation. It also has a cooling effect inside the cylinder which allows for more boost. Ethanol doesn't have as much energy in it, so one of the downsides is that you need a fair bit more fuel to get an equivalent amount of explosive energy. Means the entire fuel system has to be upgraded. The other big downside to e85 is that ethanol absorbs water, so all of the engine components are now more susceptible to rust/etc.
I'm sure you could technically convert the pentastar to e85, but it probably wouldn't be worth it. It's boosted applications where e85 really benefits.

I'm still waiting to see a 2JZ Gladiator. Runs 9s in the 1/4 mile and has to rev to 6k RPM to drive over a pebble ???

Livernois has an e85 tune for the gladiator that supposedly requires no changes to the fuel system, good for 50hp. I would be tempted to give it a shot but unfortunately i have a late 21 and they cant tune it
