They are doing due diligence. I've had to travel to the dealership to talk with service advisors as they are usually swamped with customers.

Go talk to a Lemon Law lawyer and see what the rules are in your state. Since you think you're getting lower priority for not buying there, I doubt you will be happy with the results when they are done. They may be able to repair it, but are you going to trust it to be reliable?

My Gladiator has been in the shop for just over two weeks. Flashing MIL for misfire. Was towed to the nearest dealer under warranty. Dealer determined the camshaft on right side needed replaced and parts were readily available. After repair light still flashing and now they say they think the left side cam needs replaced. But first they are breaking down the right side again to make sure there is no debris left behind. Service manager won’t return my calls now. I feel like I’m getting the run around and they don’t want to make it a priority since I didn’t purchase from them.I just want my Gladiator back.
Sorry, but where is the problem? 2 weeks? I know of some that have been in longer for less. Shops are swamped now, parts issues, trouble getting parts, trouble hiring anyone who wants to work.
I see nothing wrong with what they are doing based on the little bit of info here.

Many times shops will do BETTER to try to get you as a customer. Here,. there've done stuff for me for free to try to get my business.
The shop doesn't care, they don't give a rip where you bought it as they are operated as a distinct side of the business. Don't believe that a shop would care at all. They make their money one way or another and it wasn't that long ago when the bigger profit was the shop, not sales.
