Oracle Heated Headlights

Ordered mine about 1 week ago, they just shipped.

As I drive in cold for 5 months, I'm curious if I should have the sensor wired into an AUX switch and turn them on when I need them?

Otherwise they could be heating for months.

Maybe I'm over thinking it lol

Hey there - You don't need to wire these to a switch. The ambient cold weather will keep these from overheating and they will turn off when the temp gets to a point where they are not needed.

Perfect, that's what I was curious about.

They arrive Friday, so I'll get them in and light up the road!

Well, got them installed today, was simple as most people know with these Jeeps.

I wish I would have gotten a picture before and after of the light spread.

The "steps" in the beam pattern might drive me nuts...

However, after having been through several blizzards and having to stop every 100 feet to clear the lights, I'm open to testing these.

Will report back in the future!

That was said with idea of being below 32 degrees non stop with snow.

Typically snow starts in late November and goes until March / April.

But it is cold more than 5 months yes.

Steps?

There is a step in the light cutoff on the driver side to keep from blinding Oncoming traffic.

I have my set of updated heated headlights in the exterior parts marketplace if you’re not wanting to wait.

Hey! Yes, this is normal for the first couple weeks of use as the moisture in the trapped air inside evaporates. This won't affect the performance of the lamps and will go away and not come back.

That will be more so with these since there are heating elements generating more heat for that moist air to outgas.

I still elected to do a return, going a different route for my setup.
