Hey guys,
On jeeptracker do you go by the Build Sheet or the list of options??

the Build Sheet pdf on there is correct. The List of Options on the main page is wrong. Not sure whether to be pissed off or happy lol

Not sure if Minty’s issue is price related or the details of his order, but this article from Kelley Blue Book on ordering a vehicle may be good for some that haven’t received their orders or that are thinking about ordering a new vehicle. It gives some things to look out for, particularly step 9, so you can ensure your price doesn’t change at time of delivery.

https://www.kbb.com/car-advice/ordering-car-from-factory/

When I placed my order, I made the salesman sign my out the door cost buyers order and build sheet based on the advice in this article so my price would have a better chance of being locked in.

I read at some point that body colored tops were an issue, but nothing to back up that issue.
i was very wary of even the smallest Mopar add-ons, even the slush mats when I placed my order. There really wasn’t much saving by including them, so I removed those and the door sill guards and probably some others before submitting the final order. I only ordered the trail rail and spray-in liner.
went looking on Mopar today and it looks like those slush mats apear to short on stock?
*edit* grammar and typos
Thanks for the info!
I'd heard/read similar things as well. Luckily, I'm in no real rush to get it.

Well gents looks like I opened a can of worms. Let me grab a beer, let my blood pressure drop a few points and then I'll hop on the computer for story time. Give me about 10 minutes

I found by looking at pictures of actual 2023 models on auto trader is that the Rubicon does not come Fox shocks this year. Pictures of 2023 Mojave’s do show the Fox remote res shocks.
Perfect!Glad I didn't buy a rubi! Those fox shots aren't any more functional anyways, just shiny. Spray paint them with steel-it and Toss a fox sticker on, done.

Ok, here we go!

So I call Koons several times today, leave voice mails and send an email. This is all after I receive notification(s) my JTM is delivered and see than see its listed on Autotrader for sale.

I finally get an email at 4:16 EST about the whole my Jeep has arrived and I need to make an appointment to schedule delivery. After several emails not to my liking or desire I get a phone call from Craig. I told them I want to pick up on Sunday and he told me there are no available appointments til Monday(sorry, my work has me tired up Monday-Friday). I said hold up, hell no. I called them several times this week to get ahead of the power curve to schedule but to be dismissed. I also informed them as early as Monday that I need nothing more then 30 minutes for this deal. I have my own financing and will take care of my own taxes, title and tag in Maryland.

They proceed to inform me the max amount the accept via credit card charges is $3,000; I was going to pay for the whole truck with my AMEX card......but ok. Then they tell me I have to pay tax, title and tag to them via some cooperate bullshit.....again, bullshit. I bought my last truck out of state and they let me handle that. They gave me a 30 day temp tag and I was in and out of that dealer in less then 30 minutes.

NEXT, they tell me I have to submit a credit check(hard inquiry) even though I have a bank check which requires the finance department to call and get a authentication code to cash (which means its not a fake check). If I opt out of the credit check I would have to wait another 5-7 days to take delivery of my JTM. Which is fuckin bullshit on seven different levels. Part of the delivery process is providing ID........all of which, my retirement ID (DoD), Contractor CAC, MD drivers license and my Passport are federally accredited for international travel. They want to claim the Patriot Act, BUT get educated on that........its a fraud.

End state, you are not required a credit check to buy a vehicle for a value over $10,000 USD unless you're financing with the dealer, paying in cash, cashiers check or wire transfer. If you pay with a bank check or personal check, the "required" credit check is not required. (again, do your due diligence.....don't take the dealers word, look at the federal laws).

I'm calling the "GSM" aka tool bag General Sales Manager in the morning. I can't wait to wake his woke ass up on the actual laws. Worst case, after my morning appointment I will drive down there and do a face to face. I'm not backing down. If I need to get my lawyer friends involved...so be it, they love silly shit like this.

But I will also kindly inform them I have every single stich of digital evidence of this transaction from 1st email to now and I will educate the masses. No threats or deformation, just the stone cold truth on their failures and hidden documentation.

Attached is some corporate bullshit document that was not provided at the time of signing my order/contract.

Fuck me I wish I went with Gupton at thos point.

Shitty you are going through it. That kind of ruins your custom ordered new car experience, that we are all already overpaying for.

Great customer service as a business model is a thing of the past. Now it is all about just how much disposable income do they think they can get from the consumer.

Though my buying experience will probably be different than most b/c of knowing the dealer, before doing so, I watched YAA (Your Auto Alliance) on youtube and they had a few great vids on what to do and what to get in writing during the order and how to knock off some of the dealer bs they add.

So after venting to yall, a nice cold beer and a good nights rest here is where I'm at. Cooler heads always prevail or so I have been told. I didn't want to call this morning and be a Karen or Kyle for that matter. So I just called the General Sales Manager for the dealership and got the situation squared away. I explained to her my schedule and constraints and I requested to be accommodated this weekend.

She said ok, when would you like to come in? I requested to be the first available appointment on Sunday Morning aka 0900. She said I can't promise to have you in and out in 30 minutes, but she'll ensure its efficient as can be.

Moral of the story, talk to the boss in a respectful manner and let them know you have all of your ducks in a row.

So he who holds the funds, has the power in a sale or transaction.

So yes, effective Sunday morning I should have the first HV JT on the forum.

Fingers crossed nothing else dumb comes up.
