2023 Jeep Gladiator Order…What step are you in?

Just got my update from Jeep Tracker! Woot-Woot. For those of you who have been following me…. You know I have had trouble with my Jeep order. You see I ordered in August and it appears it’s best to order in Sept or October. Original Arrival date of 10/15 came and went, new date was set for 11/17, next New date was 11/8 after I reached built status at the end of Oct. Today is 11/8 and my dealer told me yesterday it has not been shipped yet. Tracking websites now say TBD. So I guess Jeep likes to build vehicles but they don’t actually care if the get paid for them. I am beyond pissed!!!! Can’t wait for my dealership to open so the GSM and I can have a conversation. I want “Sarge” on Veterans day or I may tell them they can shove it where the sun don’t shine.

I understand your frustration. But your dealer has almost no ability to do anything about your order at this stage.

I think it’s reasonable to expresss your frustrations with the process to your gsm or sales person. But giving them a date you have to have it by…. Or telling them to “shove it” isn’t going to do anything to help the situation.

1. they can’t do anything to make sure it’s there by a given date.

2. If you walk, they are going to sell it anyway. That threat isn’t the leverage you might think it is.

Again, sorry to hear about your delays. Ask your dealer for the specific code/status so you can see where it is in shipping. That would be constructive at least.

Otherwise, take a deep breath and think about how much you will enjoy this new vechice once it’s here. A few week delay will melt away.

Beginning to think everyone is right in that the "Arrival date" is your actual ship date, no shot it's here in 7 days if it has not shipped yet. The patience game continues.

I appreciate the feedback. It helps a little. Has anyone else on this forum ordered mid August or before still waiting on their Jeep? Yes - Of course I am asking my dealer what code I am in. I keep getting the same response. Built but not shipped. The TBD is really burning me up because I keep getting told by everyone there is not much else I can do and I don't like that answer. I will be placing another order with my dealer today for the exact same vehicle and whichever one comes in first I will accept. Now isn't that answer better than nothing we can do! Based on how fast new orders are being built and out the door I am kicking myself for not doing it sooner.

Built but not shipped could be a lot of things. There are specific codes that could give you much more insight into what is going on. If they will provide that code to you, you can cross ref it and see what is going on.

It’s nice they are willing to order another identical build. I’m sure your first will arrive first though. If the second shows up, hopefully they honor your original pricing, as invoice and msrp has gone up a decent amount since Aug.

^ Agreed on the specific code, could be anything. It didn't pass the water test, paint tolerances, engine issues. A specific code could provide the insight into what exactly is the issue, below is a list of codes to ask for:


JE - emission check

I - Inspection. Your vehicle goes through a battery of shakedown tests and measurements are taken to ensure the vehicle looks and performs as expected.

JB - Body Vendor. The vehicle is sent off-site to have a spray liner put in, steps, etc.

JS - Storage. Some of you call this "Prison". I like to think of it as QA trying to ensure you get what you expected. Typically if something happens or is found in the I step (or even a previous step), it goes here to get checked and fixed. A panel looks off-color, a part on your vehicle was in the same batch as a bunch of failed parts, the light doesn't turn on, etc will all cause the vehicle to get sent here for a detailed inspection and fix.

The code is still KZ. That is the code they are seeing. I just left a message for the GSM. If he can't give me an actual ship date and when I will have it then I will have them order me another. If they refuse I will simply go to another dealership. 1st one that gets here I will keep. The other they can keep. It's probably a lemon anyway. Yes - I will lose thousands but at this point I don't really care. I gave my car to my kid months ago thinking I would have this thing by now so simply having a vehicle on order and in limbo land does not help me. If anyone has an order date of Mid August or earlier please let me know. I am wondering if I am the only one in this situation and yes - misery does love company. Thanks for the replies.

I ordered august 24. vehicle shipped 10-22. eta was 12-8,then 11-24, now 11-18. delivery by rail to Laurel,Mt. Trucked from Laurel to Anaconda,Mt. I am more then ready to take delivery. Good luck to you.

About 2hrs after I could access the build sheet. Will update when I can get the window sticker.

Again, ordered on Oct 3, D1 Oct 5. JTRD.

For what it’s worth most builds that I’ve seen, including my first order, go to TBD when they are shipped for some reason. It’s like the system goes blank when it goes to shipping sometimes, maybe depending on how it’s entered, but I would not be surprised if yours is actual en route and the next update you get will be delivered.

if it helps I think I still have the longest wait. Ordered July 14- confirmed July 26. An you can see it just finished being built today. 32 days in production.

I was hoping the tracker was just off and the dealer would call and say come get your truck. But no such luck I see. ??‍
