What do I tap to connect to DRL’s? (OEM LED’s)

Installing the universal prerunner lights and every video says tap the white with brown stripe. That keeps them on with the headlights, not on with the DRL’s.

Anyone know on the LED harness which it is?

Update, white w yellow stripes gets them on with DRL, but now off when I have headlights on.
Thought they would stay on all the time… a constant hot with ignition I guess I need.

I ran the DRL from the passenger side light to F52 20A. But that’s what I did.

Not sure why you'd wire one side DRL to the that circuit.......... his DRLs work.

He's running prerunner lights.
He had them so they were on with the headlights, not with DRL,
but connecting to a DRL wire would run the prerunner lights only when the DRL are on.

So he's perhaps better off running the prerunner lights directly to an ACC circuit so they are on any time the Jeep is running. And the 12v outlet fuse would do that.

No reason to run his DRL to be on all the time especially just one side.

You nailed it. I got them either on with headlights or DRL… as noted above by another member, just need to tap F52. Ordered a fuse tap.

My remaining issue is just making sure I put it in the right direction.

Just to close the loop: for the universal prerunner lights from Oracle, with LED vehicles, can’t tap into the light harness if you want them on with ignition, I.e. not just with DRL OR headlights, but all the time.

Have to do a fuse tap to cig lighter. Looks good and would have been a 15min job had I not tried to tap the light harness like the 500 install videos show…

Awesome! Thank you very much. I bought a set of OEM LED DRL's and the dude that sold them just cut the wires about 6" from the housing. I'm thinking I can put this on the ends of the cut wires and then leave the factory harness alone. Keep it plug and play.

American Adventure Labs makes a plug and play harness so you don’t have to tap into the factory wiring if you don’t want to. I’m using these for my KC lights backlighting (installed)and oracle prerunner lights (not installed yet) and they work great.

For my rather complex snow plow lighting arrangement, I used Oracle headlight adapters which are pretty much the same thing. They plugged into the factory harness up behind the liner and the other leads went up and plugged into the plow light harness to signal the plow controller when the appropriate lights were on.

I needed DRL and left turn from one side, park and right turn from the other side so I got two of these and modified them for my purposes. Didn't need the ground but left in place for possible future use.

Same thing, different sources for the harness.
Anything to avoid tapping into the factory wires.
