Unfortunately I was I was sandwiched between two cars on Friday, and damaged both bumpers. Luckily the damage is just dents/scratches to the bumpers.

Anyways, considering just getting the check for the repairs and doing bumper upgrades.

I have access to a steel bumper with hardware. Will this be a direct bolt up to my Sport S (see picture for reference)?

Are there different steel mopar bumpers? If yes which is this one?

What is the other piece, does this replace the plastic piece under my Sport bumper?

What do these sell for usually?

Appreciate the help.

So the picture you attached looks to be the standard Rubicon bumper with the steel skid plate. I *Believe* that the skid plate you attached will work with the below bumpers. But as far as combability, 100% bolt up and run with it.

Part Number: 82215121AC (Standard Rubicon/Mojave upgraded steel bumper)

And not a steel bumper. Yes it will bolt right up, the skid plate may not if brackets are missing.

Really, any bumper from a JK, JL, JT will bolt up, the JK bumpers may need a couple mounting holes reamed to make fit. I have a JK Hard Rock bumper on my Overland (modified it a little)...

Thanks, I thought it looked like a plastic bumper which is why I asked if there were different versions. Is it normal that the Rubicon plastic bumper has a steel skid plate?

Thanks for the photos, this is exactly what I was trying to figure out. It appears the bumper I posted is plastic - So I need to investigate that further.

A few threads are floating around regarding a knockoff steel bumper that is similar to the upgraded one for the Rubi/Mojave. Could be another avenue to explore

Yes, the skid is steel, to offer a little protection to the sway bar disconnect.

I may be an outcast, but I liked my sport bumper, I had JUST Installed a hoop a week ago. Here is a pic of the front damage.

I do like the 3 piece steel bumper as well, but I have not seen much on the after market side that get me excited.

There is also a lot of customizing that can be done to the steel bumper. Maximus-3

NOTE: The steel skid plate for the plastic bumper and the steel skid for the metal bumper are two different plates and require different mount brackets. The Skid to the metal bumper bolts to the bumper.

This would also be a good time to select any aftermarket bumpers. If you want a winch in the front, now is the time to check prices. Some choices are a lot cheaper than others. The factory steel bumper is "winch capable" but requires an expensive winch plate to be purchased separately, for example. I replaced my plastic front bumper with the steel Arcus that comes with a strong winch plate, and added the Harbor Freight winch that I had been saving for several years.

The Arcus is one I actually kind of like, but I am drawn to the stock bumpers for some reason.

Bummer that you are in Va. I have a plastic sitting on the garage floor that I took off a couple months ago. Installed the Mopar Steel bumper.

I think a lot of us are attracted to the Arcus (I have one too) because it looks almost OEM like. You'll have to search until you find the middle ground of being happy with the look, practical function and price point. No wrong choice and outside of money, nothing is permanent.

I would have gone with the Arcus, but found the HR bumper, with the winch plate for just under $500, so very hard to refuse. I prepped/painted it with a textured paint that closely mirrors the hardtop texture, and deleted the crush cans (bump outs next to fog lights) in favor of the d-ring plates. It still needs a little work... I need to make a filler piece around my winch, and between the bumper and grill...
