In case anyone is curious about one of those slim RBG light bars, here is a pic installed on my Jeep and a short video:

There are a ton of animations and such. This is just a small sample. Also, there are two sets of LEDs. One for pure white light bar use, and the other set is for all the RBG functions. They are powered on and off and controlled separately as well.

Here is the link to the one I purchased:

looks good, but my experience with no-name cheap chinese electronics on amazon is that the 5 star reviews are bought and paid for, and the lumens/watts/lux/cp is generously exaggerated. Is it bright enough to actually light anything up more than 2 feet in front of you.

I have the other light bar for that. This one is to fill the bumper gap and provide the RGB functions.

I will test the light output later this week. For the price I paid, I am not expecting daylight. I have spent a ton on high price things, and I have bought things at bargain prices. Price is not always indicative of quality in either direction.

Just wanted to share for the sake of others. I can spend more than this thing cost just eating dinner.

Other than being illegal in every state it looks nice.
There is nothing illegal about a light unless it is turned on illegally.

The RGB function is legal if it is white or yellow as an accent lighting option. In many states, only red and blue are illegal colors for Aux lighting. This is not universal for all states. Also, there are dimming options for the RGB function as well, so brightness should not be an issue.

The flood lighting option is illegal while driving.

As mentioned above, these options can be used independently from each other.

I have no intention of using either while driving. I will use the RGB lighting while parked, but who knows how often
