Myself and a friend or two tried to setup the annex. But man I got one pole in (horizontal) and could NOT get the other one. I felt like I didnt have enough material slack to make it work. Id guess 6-8" short.
If you are familiar with these you know you have a section on the annex than slides into the groove/channel on the underside of the RTT. We only attached the sides of that not the back wall. I tried to steal some slack from one side and get more on the other but I couldnt make it happen and we gave up before we broke a pole or tore the annex.
Am I missing something? I know its supposed to be pretty tight but it feels unrealistic.

I cut a few inches from the pole to make it work easier. It works if it's not windy. I think it's more stable in the vertical position with tie down guides. Been trying to get another set of poles from them but their customer response has been horrendous. Also the clear coat started peeling off in under a year so I raptor lined it.

thanks for responding, i was beginning to think it was just me being stupid haha
Yep, I also had to cut some off the ends. I did finally manage to make it work. Not super impressed as one of the poles came loose internally and ill have to address it also. But im sorta dedicated at this point.
That is odd that they wont respond, they had to fill out an order form and email me to get the poles. I bought the annex from a big youtuber but they didnt have the poles (I didnt know that at the time as it was unopened.)
Either way ill tinker with it more as weather allows. I can probably use my awning poles also if i had to.

I wanted a second set of poles and possibly try using both sets for vertical and horizontal but could not get them to respond via emails, voicemails and text for about six months. I finally just gave up. I rarely used the annex anyway.

Have two little girls; the alpha fits the 4 of us with a little room for other stuff. We have a 3rd coming in June. So might need to use the annex more in the future.
