A few dealerships in my area show them coming soon. So it seems like they haven’t been built yet. I know mine is still sitting at D and I ordered a bit over a week ago.
At least you got the order in before the strike. I think I waited too long to get Punkin. I may have to go with a sarge or firecracker red. I want the soft top and duel doors.

I’m fully anticipating my order being canceled honestly. If the strike lasts much longer why would jeep continue making ‘23s when they have so many on dealer lots and ‘24s slated to begin production soon. So while I feel lucky to have gotten my order in, I also feel disappointed that I probably won’t get the one that I ordered.

Depends on how much they have of the 2023 parts.

Also, You couldn't have ordered dual doors with Punk'n anyway. I tried ;)

[/QUOTEI Funny, I have Sarge currently, and ordered another in Punk'n. However Firecracker Red would have been my order if Punk'n wasn't available. That red is gorgeous.

Ordered my punkin far out edition on 8/14. As of last Friday 9/15 it was built and in final inspection. Delivery date was set to 10/11, but with the strike now...that date may get pushed out. At least its built.

Latest word on mine is still scheduled but no date. So now we wait and see what happens with the strike. I've got a bad feeling about this.

This is my fear as well. Talked with my dealer yesterday and he seemed very confident that it should be built, but he obviously doesn't have a crystal ball. Who knows, maybe they'll build us MY24 Punk'n Gladiators. As long as I get what I spec'd out at the price I agreed to pay, I could care less if its a 23 or 24. That said, my dealer had made mention that with the VIN already being issued, if it gets build (and he thought it should), it would definitely be a MY23.

Depends on how much they have of the 2023 parts.
I think this may just be the saving grace....

Better than me, mine is still sitting in confirmed status for the last 29 days. Would have made be feel better if it had flipped to scheduled before the strike, but it is what it is. Maybe if I hadn't checked so many option buttons lol...

One issue with this. The build I ordered isn’t even available for the ‘24MY, and I’m sure some others are the same way. So I’m not sure how they’d go about building it as the new year. If they required that I re-spec the build to conform with ‘24 options they’d have 0 reason to honor my pricing. It’s really a lose-lose If mine isn’t built as specced as a ‘23MY.

Same situation for me. Besides the obvious Punk'n color, I selected Steel Gray for the interior which isn't an option in MY24. I believe all the rest of the boxes I checked are available on MY24, albeit part of a different package and such.

My understanding (and I could be completely wrong) is that when an order is confirmed, its basically Jeep acknowledging that all the components for that particular build are available or will be available (nothing is backordered, recalled, or otherwise unavailable that would prevent it from being manufactured). With that understanding, what I was eluding to is perhaps they decide to flip their lines over / re-tool to MY24 specific stuff like the new dash and grill, perhaps then they would sub those components (new dash and grill) in on our MY23 builds (but all the other MY23 specific components like in my case, the steel gray seats, which they should already have and there is no difference with installing a gray seat instead of a black or Mantis green as is available in 24, just not power, would be installed). So we would have MY23 trucks that look like MY24....

To that point, it would be in their best interest financially speaking to consume any residual inventory on these MY23 specific components as well to reduce E&O losses. On that note, that would be the real incentive for them to see these MY23 builds through; burn up all the old dashboards, infotainment systems and grills. The last thing any organization wants to do is write off tens or hundreds of thousands of dollars off on E&O inventory.

Lastly, these are sold orders. Not that it would be impossible, but while they have thousands of trucks on the lots, I personally find it hard to believe that they would walk away from "guaranteed" sales, but that's my opinion (or wishful thinking). Like the old saying goes, "a bird in the hand is better than two in the bush..."

But hey, what do I know LOL!

I wish there was an option, at the time of placing the order, that we could have an Airtag dropped in it during production. At least you could see if it moved or not. Also be able to track it during shipping.

That’ll be a $3,000 option, and no guarantee it’ll work.

I didn't think about the VIN assignment. Since the VIN indicates the year, they would either be MY23, if built, or cancelled and reordered as a MY24.
