Nothing wrong with a Chevy....
Nope. I’ve had a Suburbon and a Yukon XL in the past and have had great luck with GM. Put close to 200k miles on them and when sold they were both still riding and towing like a champ. The aggressive look of the truck is fun too! My daughter told me it’s a “next level dad truck” which made me smile a bit. ?

But a Chevy? It would have been less embarrassing to say you got a boyfriend
Ah, was wondering if there were any haters... If we are going to go there let’s use an analogy to compare….

The JT knows how to move its hips during a rough ride but the Chevy TB has much bigger tits and powerful thighs that will crush you all day long…. They’re both fun, just depends what you need. ?‍♂

Happy for ya! @Mflowers11

ive been eyeing the gmc canyons a LOT and secretly hoping the “ram” (dodge) re release of the dakota has a higher payload. Payload is really what im after at the moment and REALLY not stroked about owning a full size

Love my JT but will never ever ever sell my 96 Chevy 3500. To do real truck things you need a full size. You'll find a way to have both some day.

That trail boss looks too pretty for a trail though :) enjoy.

The Chevy has big tits and powerful thighs like you say, sort of like Catlin Jenner does....

Ram would have been a better choice with F150 a close 2nd.... Chevy just scrapes the bottom

Dodge could definitely make a play if they put a hot Dakota out there to better compete with the tundra and titan.

Thanks, I looked at the Canyon and Colorado as well. Have you driven one? I didn’t really think it felt underpowered but it sure sounded like it. Had the sound a 4 does when it’s trying way to hard!!! The TB moves effortlessly and shifts like a dream without giving up more than 2 MPG.

When I test drove the Colorado my wife even said she felt small, which was all in the sound and feeling of the engine. Reminded me of the Mazda I had in college, Zoom Zoom…!

Tundra and Titan? Drove the Tundra. It’s a glorified SUV, plus the revamp is having BIG reliability issues. Almost walked away with the Hybrid Tundra. The hybrid was done purely for power, and it showed it while driving. But, it didn’t even have tow hooks! I decided it is basically a better looking Honda Ridgeline. They built it for someone that wants to haul groceries and golf clubs. Nothing more…. That was my feeling anyway.

From what I’ve read its “supposed” to be a competitor in the mid size truck market

Even the TRD, it’s over priced when going apples to apples with a ZR2 (Colorado or Silverado), or both the Raptor and TRX which are in categories of their own.. Toyota built a hell of a brand with the Tundra but IMO they are in the process of killing it. The new Tacoma is looking pretty good, but didn’t trust it after the issues they’ve had with the revamped Tundra.

I haven’t yet, ive been holding off because i know if i sit in one im going to make a poor financial decision since where i am theyre still scarce optioned how i want. I don’t expect the turbo 4 to sound remotely good haha thankfully the army saw fit to issue me just tons of hearing loss! So the engine sound isnt a concern for me.

some concerns i do have is the that ive seen stuff saying the turbo is forged into the engine. Which makes me nervous about it failing and becoming a very expensive problem.

im also concerned because I haven’t been able to find much on their towing specs. Specifically things like the max frontal area or the max tongue weight.

For now. The reality is I had to half ass everything I wanted to do to my JT do to having to be “professional” and sensible for work. A fully rigged out Jeep wouldn’t send the right message in my line of work.

I’ll be back when I have the time to do it right. Will ride with a bit more comfort till then!

You swapped death wobble with lifter failed and torque converter shudder. Yay!

we have a fleet of 5.3s at work. All of them are junk. One had lifter failure at 19k miles. Mine made it to 92k. Out of the 7 we have mine lasted the longest before needing the get new lifters. TC issues in all of them. I’ll never own a 5.3/8-speed because of what I’ve seen at work.

Both great, won’t argue that. Outside of the Raptor though, not a fan of Ford styling and Rams interior was awesome but I’ve never been a fan of the rounded hood, to me it just looks a bit softer. Was between the Ram Rebel and Chevy TB.

The TB spoke to me more.

People Work?
No hate from here. When I bought my Jeep I knew our time together would be limited.
It's a very high maintenance vehicle, but also a very fun one to own and use.
I was eyeing the Colorado and Canyon, but the Tacoma has me holding off for a bit longer before I decide.
Might be another year or two, but our days together are definitely limited.
Good luck to you! Great looking truck!
