Can I use all steel oem spares to run everyday? I’ve read that the Mojave spare won’t work (and doesn’t it have 19 holes?), but can I use All the other models’ 245 75 17 spare wheels and put 285 75 17 on them?

I don’t see why not, it is a steel rim And 7.5 inches wide. I have it mounted on my off-road trailer as a spare, with a 35 KO2.

yes, either works so long as you don't mix Mojave and regular spare wheels, because they have different offsets.

What about Wrangler OEM steel spares w 20-holes? Will there be any issue about offset if I’ve gotten a JK or JL steel spare accidentally? Or if I’ve purchased a 17” steel OEM spare from a JT that had 285s stock and others from 17” 245/75/17?

I am pretty sure that the spares from Wranglers are all the same wheels as what comes on them, due to them being mounted on the rear of the vehicle. I could be wrong though, I just don’t recall ever seeing a different wheel on the back of a wrangler. I would double check the specs on any you purchase, just to make sure they are all the same backspacing.

Yeah, I don’t understand backspacing and offset. Thanks. I’ve got two rabbit holes to play in this afternoon.

Stick with the Gladiator non-Mojave wheels.

Here are 2 diagrams that explain the difference/similarities.

Thanks. That helped my pea brain slightly. Now I just have to check to see if for some crazy reason the manufacturer would change offset/backspace for a spare that would be different from offset/backspace on running tires/wheels. Could I determine that from any of the numbers on the wheel, if there are any?
