So this build will be mild at best as I have a Tacoma that is built for abuse and this truck will be my daily driver. I do plan to mod this truck some and as time passes I will likely end up wheeling both trucks at some point. Back story on my Jeep journey, I bought my first Jeep the day I turned 15 a white 88 YJ. That Jeep taught me how to work on everything from brakes to carbs. Sadly after having that Jeep for 7 years and completely redoing the interior, building the 4.2L engine, and prepping the exterior for paint it was stolen. The police found the stripped down tub drenched in oil. 2 years later I came across a white 98 TJ that looked like the reincarnation for my YJ in newer form. I lifted it and herculined the interior and made it into a pretty capable offraod vehicle while also maintaining it as a daily driver. I had that Jeep from 2009 to 2021. I sold it since my son was very young and the TJ just wasn't "safe" for him to ride in as well as I wasn't driving the TJ as often as I should and wanted to get it into the hands of someone that would give it the love it deserved.

When the Gladiators came out I was super stoked and wanted very much to sell my TJ and jump into a Gladiator the first year of production. But my wife talked some sense into me about waiting until our son was here and we were in a better place financially. SO I dug deep and found the patience needed to wait it out. Well the time finally came. With all of the factory incentives and dealer mark downs on 2023 stock and the auto market turning back to a buyers market I finally made my move into the 4 door Jeep world and bought my 2023 Gladiator Rubi.

The name from the build is a throw back to a story a tech I had one time. He was a odd fellow and would tell random stories here and there. One day he came in and said "Hey you know if you were born in the Roman times when they had gladiators they would have called you.... Trenticus." My name is Trent. So I think its fitting that my Gladiator have a "roman name".

I am looking forward to using the forum as a place to learn about possible mods as well as any tips and tricks to be had here.

Recently installed my Rugged Ridge entry guards.

Today I installed my Bulletpoint phone holder and my Mopar winch hoop.

Removed the freedom panels and the side freedom panels(doors, these have always been what I felt gave me "freedom" in my Jeep) and took it for a spin on my lunch break today.

Ordered my Hotheadliner kit with sound assassin this weekend. Shipping shows it should arrive by Friday, hoping to install next weekend.

Hotheads Headliner came in yesterday and I installed it this afternoon!

I love the color. I always get a little jealous when I see a Punk'n Gladiator. How do you like the Hot Headliners? I am still debating between those and these:

I really like them. They are very well made and I can tell cut down on a little bit of noise and reduced the heat a little bit. Also took advantage of the Memorial Day sale and was able to score them for a good discount plus free shipping. I had actually decided on Hot Heads in March but specifically waited until they held their Memorial Day sale.

Those look neat, I'm too tall to think about adding anything else that hangs down towards my head lol.

Was able to install the Rugged Ridge Tonneau Cover and the Oracle Bumper lights. Tomorrow I'll add the oracle prerunner lights, z automotive front cam, and tazer mini.

Yes I am very happy with them. Product is A+ and install was a breeze. I can tell some noise reduction at hwy speeds and feel like it's helping keep the sun at bay a bit better than before. Also I really like not looking back and seeing a sea of white inside.

Prerunner lights installed. Accidentally ordered the JL front cam. Decided to return and wait on getting the right one. Also returning the Aux Switch as I don't currently have anything after market that needs to be switched.
