Kudos on the new Mojave. We have pretty much the same story I'm thinking. We bought a 2023 Sarge Green Mojave last August; with the last Jeep we had being a 2002 Jeep Liberty. Oh, we also came from driving a Subaru (Forester). Our Mojave gets half the gas mileage that the Subaru got but I don't regret the purchase for a single minute. I have NEVER looked back at the Subaru, when getting out at the store, and thought "dang, that's a great looking vehicle." I ALWAYS do with "Olivia" (P.S. - you know you have to name your new baby, right!).

As far as the tonneau cover goes, may I make a suggestion? I started off with a BAKFlip MX4 tonneau cover. It was O.K., until I saw the Diamondback HD cover and that was it. I ate the $1,200 that I had paid for the BAKFlip cover and shelled out the $2k+ for the Diamondback HD cover (I gave the first cover to the installer who helped me put both of them on my truck).

That Diamondback HD tonneau cover is built like a brick s***-house! I ABSOLUTELY would never have any other cover on a truck than that one. My wife and I just returned from a 4K+ road trip that covered 16 states in 12 days. I never once walked out to the hotel parking lot with a worry that our stuff had been messed with in the bed of the truck. With the BAKFlip cover, I didn't have that kind of confidence.

Just wanted to add an idea for you to look at when purchasing your tonneau cover. "Olivia" has 100% been the favorite vehicle that we have ever owned.

I looked at the Diamondback tonneau cover and not sure if that’s the type of $$ I want to shell out just yet. I’m also considering eventually doing some kind of a half-rack on the back, so buying/building once is definitely a goal.

Yep, naming him will come with time. My Subaru (Outback wilderness edition) was the “Stormtrooper” because it was white and black. I’m sure the right name will come to me the more I drive it

I would think that Mojave would be a good name.

Good move on getting the Mopar performance steps, I love mine. Get some kind of mudflaps for the front wheels, saves the paint from stone dings.
Hydro blue is a good choice , all the good looking lucky guys drive blue Jeeps!….Jack
Oh how cute. The guys who couldn't get Snazberry hyping up their Blue. LOL. But seriously that blue is fire 🤣👍

I really like Snaze was not an option at the time I bought and it is a lot more rare then blue!

I’m in the Southeast where you need to practically be a duck for a couple months out of the year to survive. The only 3 I found that would have been a better deal were Rubi’s with the aforementioned wrong color choice. White and black look good when they’re freshly washed. Red I’ve just never been a fan of.
Glad to have you back in the Jeep family.
There's quite a few of us here in AL. so we definitely know the rainy seasons at least when I was on the S.E GA and FL. the coast it was just going to happen. The rollbar pads in my Wrangler are more brown than black from that and the sun.
I've been there and done that with a white and black XJ's why my first choice was Gobi, Gator and 3rd being blue. It helps me to keep track too. Red XJ, white XJ, blue MJ, green LJ, and Gobi JT. Certain colors draw to much attention. ;)

yep been there. White and black XJ, red CJ5. Built the black XJ. Red CJ already came built. Building a white YJ and have an all original red 67 jeepster convertible at my folks’ place that’s my inheritance from my grandma.
