Where is everyone finding a good deal right now??
Finally saved up enough for a Mojave but I’ve called all over the country and everyone ramps up the price 8-10k right off the bat.
In the perfect world I’d find a 2023 Mojave leftover as I’m not a fan of the giant screen in the ‘24’s.

The pickings are pretty slim at this point. It's about time to start seeing announcements for the '25 models. The good selection and deals on the '23 models started drying up a few months ago. I traded my '20 Overland for a '23 High Altitude in February. I wasn't planning on it. I gave the salesman an impossible option list just to get rid of him, but he found two identically equipped, so I bought one since the Overland was discontinued. The deals on '24 models will show when the '25 models start to hit the lots.

After being completely disgusted with scam sale prices locally I bought a used one from a non JCDR dealership. All of the dealership listing I found in the midwest this last spring were bait and switch. Lure you in with an advertised price below MSRP then quote an overinflated out the door price. I’ve seen some decent listings private party in the Gladiator FB groups. Autotrader is flooded with sponsored dealer spam listings.

So maybe I should think about buying a ‘24 at the end of the year. The dealers around here still have a ton of ‘23’s on the lot though.

The '23 models with have lower insurance and registration costs, plus come with a full warranty. If you can find one equipped the way you want it, at a reasonable price, I would look at going that route. If you like the '24 models better, you'll just have to wait for the discount pricing to start and then hope you can find one that you want.

I’d rather have a 23. But I’m actually finding that 24s are cheaper…. You would think they would want to deal on the 23s. But they won’t.
And used 23’s with 40,000 miles on them are still going for the price of what new ones go for. I guess those people paid full sticker…

If they have a ton on the lots then put in an offer and walk away. They'll call if they want to sell and if your number makes sense for them. Bear in mind guys we're getting around 10k off MSRP a little while back.

Get on Autotrader, set your search to 23, new, set your radius and get to work.

How I found mine, how I continue to find hundreds everytime someone says they're all gone.

Probably can find more resources, like cars.com etc etc, but it's still easy pickings.

I had very good luck with Reed Jeep in Merriam, Kansas when I purchased my 2023 Mojave last year. We drove there from Missouri because of the prices. Their sales manager, Mike Sullivan, made a statement that really turned my head when he said something to the effect that he was not so concerned with the current sale, but with making a customer there for life. Take a look at their website. They currently have a Sarge Green Rubicon that has an MSRP of $64,315 for $50,315 ($10,750 dealer discount and $3,250 in bonus cash). They also have a Mojave X with ($9,750 dealer discount and it also has the $3,250 in bonus cash). We drove the Rubicon and then also the Mojave. IMHO the Mojave was a better vehicle for what we were looking for (99% highway miles). We have over 20k miles on her and have never loved a vehicle as much as we do this one. Good luck with your search, friend.

So many of those Cars.com or Autotrader ads have small print at the bottom adding back $3-$6k in BS. I skip over dealers that do that. Gettel is one of them. Every vehicle they advertise has close to $5k of BS including the "Gettel advantage package". 🙄

They definitely do.

If you want to save 20k off MSRP, you have to do some work. Some of which is wading through a bunch of BS.

It's exactly how I got my new Mojave at significant discount, found two, played the dealers against each other to the point of diminishing returns.

Drove a lot of miles, spent 8-10 hours in dealerships, got dozens of calls from other dealers, dealt with bait and switch, and still saved 20k in the end over a 7 day purchase process.

Worth it to me.

The well optioned Rubicon and Mojave 23's are pretty well picked over at this point. There are a lot of the white, black and grey left over that the dealers should be willing to deal on. Possibly wait until the end of the month??

Funny you mention that. I want a grey auto Mojave with not a single other option. Needle in a Haystack. I’ve definitely found a few, but hey just not willing to wiggle on price.

I have a local dealer with a '23 JTW diesel sitting on the lot since April (first time I saw it). In April they had close to $13K discount but I didn't pull the trigger. I am now tempted in trading my JTR but their discount is only about $10.4k. I'd buy today if I got $15K off but that would be almost 24% off. I'm sure they won't do it.
