I recently bought a used 2021 80th Anniv. Edition Gladiator. I love the Mohave, but it was not in the budget. My son loves our new truck. He is helping me pick out a few items to customize it visually. It helps keep him excited about it, especially since its just us now.

Here in Alaska, it is dark a fair amount this time of the year. Add in the snow storms and its worst. My rig has the standard halogen headlights and fog/driving lights. I want to upgrade the headlights for sure, and if I can afford it, the fog light now or in the spring. I went to order the Oracle Bi-Led Headlights. They said they ship free to the USA, however it seems they won't ship to Alaska, USA. So now I have to find another product. I want my Gladiator to be the one that others check out at the local Jeep Meetups, and be safe too.

So who would you all suggest for good and affordable LED Headlights. I want to match the fog lights to the same brand of headlights too.

I appreciate all the feedback and ideas.

Thanks again

While LED’s do provide lots of light they may not be the best choice for your needs as they do not put out a lot of heat and tend to fill up with snow/ice that Halogens would melt off. I believe that is why they won’t ship to Alaska.

Never mind replacing the entire headlight assembly. Save the $$$, then get new LED H13 bulbs, plus fog light LED Replacements you’ll need to look up. But together won’t cost as much as just headlight assembly’s. Just be sure to install correctly oreintated in the housing , meaning the led illumination elements facing side to side, then adjust the aim down so you don’t blind oncoming drivers.

That’s a valid point but not the reason entirely. There are a couple LED manufacturers that have taken that issue into consideration, that has designed the cooling fans to blow forward through the bulb assembly and blow the heat towards the outside lens. MORIMOTO TWO STROKE 3.0 H13, though pricey at $220/pair, work great. Check on YouTube for video explanations.

I’ve got Diode Dynamics led headlights and fogs and absolutely love them. Plenty of light and in my experience, a great company to deal with. I am in Oklahoma though where we measure snow in inches. If I were in Alaska and had to deal with your snow and extreme cold, I don’t think they put out enough heat to keep the light buckets clear.

Before going to full LED headlights, I used LED bulbs in the stock halogen housings and they were a huge improvement. If I were in Alaska, I'd try bulb replacement first because they are much less expensive. I don't have a picture of the stock halogens but will attach a couple of pictures showing the difference between the LED bulbs and the Diode Dynamics LEDs. Both pictures are low beams. I don't have the link but the bulbs came from Amazon and were around $50 for the pair.

Thanks for the feedback.

I am in Anchorage. We get cold, but it was colder when I lived in MN. Its just that our winters last a LOT longer. Snow normally from late Sept until May..

But the lack of sunshine is a major issue, during the same months.

I am planning to move back down south to the much warmer AZ, and that is another reason I am shying away from the heated lenses.

Thanks again for the options and Ideas.

I will have to check out DD. I think one of the local shops carries and installs them, while I know one about 40 miles away carries and installs the Oracle ones.

Happy Holidays!

I'd recommend LEDs with heating elements of some kind, or else keep the halogens for the snow melt and also for the warm color tone of the light. Maybe an amber film for the halogen fogs as well. But then also add LED driving lights tied to the high beams, for safety. Either 5000K Baja Designs lights or the 4000K color temp combination of Diode Dynamics amber with the lens swapped to clear. Either avoids the excessive blue of typical LED lights.

Are we to believe the bottom picture is with Diode Dynamics?

Save your $$$, just replace the bulbs! Much easier to install without the need to remove the grill. Nothing but dust cover on drivers side, air filter box on passenger side.

The best LED headlights I’ve had are the stock ones from my 23 JLU . I have some aftermarket lights on my 21 Mojave and they are ok, but are better than the stock halogen.

Try going to the local auto parts shop to see if you can at least get a pair of H13 LED’s even Sylvania brand sells them in all part stores in the lower 48. Or if not see if the at least carry the Sylvania Silverstar top of the line halogen bulbs. Down here the H13 are $98.00/pair, the others $70.00/pair. When an if you get LED bulbs, be sure they have adjustable collars so you can install the illumination elements side to side and prepare to lower the aim. Good luck. The headlight assemblies are $600-$1,000 down here.

Thanks for the info. I decided to splurge and get them for myself as a combo Christmas and Bday present.

I originally ordered them on Amazon, since I had a $100 gift card. But they never arrived, even when it says they did. So fighting with Amazon there still.

So I ordered a set directly from Oracle. They arrived quickly and I have an appointment to have them installed just before my Bday next month. Looking forward to the extra light when I drive to work at 2:30 am. As you can see they are not very bright.

I am trying to find the led bulbs for the fog lights, so I can change them out, for now. I plan to replace the Fogs, when I decide on a bumper in the summer, so I can make sure they fit in it properly.

I appreciate everyone's ideas and feedback. Thank you!
