Nice! This may make me consider getting a Sunrider again.

One question though, on the marine-grade side. Are you saying we have to pull it off and flip it over any time we want to open the Sunrider? Wouldn't it make more sense to have both sides the marine grade material?

Great question, Keith! No, you don’t have to remove or flip it each time you open the Sunrider. The side that’s facing down when installed stays that way whether the top is open or closed.

We recommend keeping the marine-grade fabric exposed in the summer if you frequently open the Sunrider—this side is built to handle direct sun and the elements. In the winter, flipping it to expose the plush headliner fabric gives you a cleaner, more comfortable interior look.

Of course, if you want to switch it back and forth, you totally can—it only takes a few seconds! Just be sure not to expose the headliner fabric side to direct sun for extended periods to keep it looking great.

Let us know if you have any other questions! 🔥🚙

Mojave orange needed!
We hear you, Chris! 🔥 Mojave Orange would definitely be a cool addition! While we don’t currently offer it for our headliners, it’s something we may consider in the future. Black is by far our most popular color (95%+) as it matches everything.

We do have orange sunshades, though, if you're looking to add some bold color to your Jeep!

Let us know if you’d like to see more color options—we’re always open to feedback! 👊🚙

Do you think 303 High Tech Fabric Guard could maintain the color on the non marine grade side? My Sunrider has been in the blazing Socal sun for 2 years and hasn't faded. I put the product on 2x a year.

Thanks for the reply.

For me, the draw of the Sunrider is the convenience to be able to pop it open whenever I want, for as long as I want. So, if I have to take into consideration that I need to flip the headliner over if I plan to keep it open for an extended period of time, that diminishes that convenience.

Is it possible to get it without the exposed Velcro on the marine side, so that we could just keep that side down and it would be slightly more pleasing to the eye?

303 definitely has good products. While it could help maintain the appearance of the headliner fabric side, we still recommend keeping the marine-grade fabric exposed when the Sunrider is open.

The headliner fabric isn't designed for prolonged direct sun exposure, and over time, even with protectants, it may not hold up as well as the marine-grade material. Also, products like this could stain, discolor or change the texture of the plush, headliner fabric. We recommend using the headliner as designed. I hope that helps.

Cool - let us know when you throw some "kits" up that include this and the rear for those of us that have nothing at the moment.

That makes sense! The good news is that you don't have to flip it every time. Personally, I left the marine-grade layer exposed all summer while testing prototypes, and it worked great. It’s no different than seeing the metal bars on the Sunrider itself, so it still looks clean and functional. I only flip mine seasonally now, which is what we ultimately suggest.

But I get that everyone has their own preference! Right now, we don’t offer a version without the exposed Velcro on the marine side, but if it’s something you’d really like, feel free to email us at [email protected], and we can see what’s possible. Appreciate the feedback!

Is there any way that this could ship sooner? I'm about to potentially be without mail access for several months, starting in about two weeks and would love to get my hands on one before then.
