NH Jericho JT Takeover 4x4 BOH Trail Ride and Mt. Washington Gladiator's On Top 2025

We are putting together plans to meet/camp/trail ride the Jericho 4x4 trail system (https://www.nhstateparks.org/find-parks-trails/jericho-mountain-state-park) a Badge of Honor Eligible Trail through Jeep, and also a group ride up to sky on the Mt. Washington Auto Road (https://mt-washington.com/) in mid to late July 2025. If you're interested in molding this event please post to the thread. No one is in charge, so we all can create a lasting memory together.

Jericho State Park Camping is already booked solid. I have made a reservation nearby at Dolly Copp, White Mountain National Forest for 25-28 July. $90 for three nights under the stars.

Gladiator's On top (mini's have a similar MT Washington event) and a Jericho JT takeover would be awesome. There is camping on site (Jericho) and glamping nearby, as well as hotels in the area.

If you have never been to the white mountains, for the most scenic experience I would recommend this route:
I-93 North through Franconia Notch to exit 32 to NH-112 East aka the https://kancamagushighway.com/ across to NH-16 North This will take you to Mt Washington and Berlin NH home of Jericho OHRV park

For reference:

I ran Jericho closing weekend this fall, I was in Berlin for my son's hockey game My 2023 (Bought new as a left over in May 2024) Max Tow (it has a LSD) is stock minus the winch and front bumper.

I was only told If you are alone you need a winch and a tree strap..So I put caution to the wind and ran the Easy trail ...
I had to bang my way through and on one climb get out and stack a few rocks. I did not have to pull any line, I did need to make a second attempt more then once.
I will say I am a very seasoned wheeler ( i have a Buggy as well) so there was some Brake / throttle finesse and good sight lines needed.

I also walked the other trails and they would be very fun / challenging for a JTR with lift and tires.

once the garage warms up I have a lift in Boxes, getting Ruby Flares and plan 37's

Pat and I are interested as a maybe, unlifted will keep me on green and blues but that’s fine, somebody else will come to ride with the wimps! Probably bringing our camper and possibly running some where else perhaps. 362 mile trip there.

We had thought about the Peters Mill ,Va. to Bear Wallow, WV to Dickey Bell, NC loop just about same mileage for me coming from Pa. Only have five BOH ,sure looks like the trips are getting longer for the rest! Maybe just do both Ha! Wife will probably head to Florida to watch grandkids for one of these!….Jack

Jack, that would be great. Maybe we could meet at one of the rest stops on the NJTP and convoy north from there. I'm thinking of leaving early Friday morning and getting into either NH or ME that afternoon........I want to miss the evening traffic

So based on current dates.....still hypothetical...... Assuming drive up on Friday, 25 July. Gorham is the closest town with accommodations and is only a couple minutes from Jericho. I already checked at the State Park for camping or cabins and everything is booked

They still have this Jr Suite 2 queen room for $189 a night. Plenty of room, 2 beds and room for other that want to crash on the floor with a sleeping bag( I'll totally take the floor one night if we split the cost). They also have a bar/lounge on site.

My thought meet up Friday afternoon, have an easy night, up early and crush the BOH trail, followed with Mt Washington. I will get the room for 2 nights. So after our long day of activities we can have a nice social/hang out and get some sleep before we hit the road on Sunday. I will more then likely trekking over the boarder to Maine and stay with my dad for a few days.

Just spit balling and offering options. For all of us MIL folks......just like a good 4 day/96er with our homies back in the day.

For those not familiar with New Hampshire.....they have no sales tax and there are some outlet stores about 30 minutes south in North Conway.

Let me know what y'all think. I will probably reserve the room tomorrow because we're going during prime tourist season in NE.
