I’m at my wits end with my brand new 2024 Gladiator’s sound bar (stock audio). At certain bass frequencies, I get a rattling vibration in the drivers side of the sound bar. I’ve done everything from tightening up all of the screws after taking the cover off, to filling in the small area between the sound bar and the roll bar with various weather stripping and foam, all with no luck.

The only thing that stops the rattle is when I place my hand on top of the sound bar in that particular spot. I’m very close to contacting a Jeep dealer. I saw one guy in a previous thread who used a ratchet strap for the same problem. I’m thinking that may be my only other option if I’m going to DIY the fix, as ugly as that may be.

Just seeing if anyone else has had any success in combating this issue. Thanks!

Took my JTRX for a 4hr round trip to the beach yesterday and suffered through several songs with bar buzzing bass. I pushed up on the bar and it stopped. I figured this was covered in the forum already but glad to see your post. I really don't like taking my vehicles in for warranty work. I will hold off for now and just keep this on my list so, when i do eventually take it in, the dealer can fix whatever surprise comes next.

Edit - Looks like I'll be testing for loose screws and buying poly fill and neoprene washers. https://www.jeepgladiatorforum.com/forum/threads/buzzy-alpine-speakers.47001/#post-758357

Maybe some heavy sound deadening material like dynamat will help.

For me it was the plastic housing. Theres clips that hold it all in, and those clips are barely attached to the facia. Give them a tug and look.
I solved mine by removing them(there’s screws in the front). Then I used e6000 adhesive(stays flexible when dry) around ever place the clips attached to the facia. Used two tubes, and applied very liberally. No more rattle.

the clip has a flat spot where it attaches, mine broke loose before I even hit 5000 miles from new.

Pretty anticlimactic resolution ... my allen head screws around the speaker cases and the torx head screws along the front facing lip of the sound bar housing were loose. If I hear it again, I'll pull the speaker case faces off and go in to tighten all those screws and stuff it with batting while I'm in there.

Neighbors all got to listen to some Ariana Grande and Backstreet Boys on volume 17.
