Installed a 52" light bar on the Rubi. Couldn't be more excited!

Then I take it on the road. At about 42 mph it vibrates the soft top. BLAP BLAP BLAP. The faster I go the louder it gets. The light bar changed up the wind
turbulence. I don't want it to damage the top and I am getting tired of the flapping. Any ideas on how to redirect the wind?

Get use to it, one of the reasons I removed mine from my JKU when I had it. It's a con of having it up there, that and mpg loss due to it changing the aerodynamics of the jeep. Plenty of threads about it on Wranglerforum, haven't seen a solution yet.

It might help if the light had more of a teardrop shape. Try a metal flap attached to the light bar that extends back a few inches, maybe also one on the bottom. You'll just have to experiment and see if you can find something that helps. One of those deflectors that goes on the edge of the hood may help some.

This. It’ll take some fine tuning, but it doesn’t necessarily need to be a long strip. Once you get the angle right, you’ll be fine.

Deadeye, mind posting that link again? It's not working. Even if I home make something, it would be nice to see what it should look like.

And I've thought about the bug deflector. Not sure how I'd attach it, so I came here first. I may hit up the Wrangler side for any more new ideas.

There are several bug deflectors available. The Mopar unit screws to the underside of the front edge of the hood.

Maybe you could make something out of clear Lexan (?) to give the light bar a more aerodynamic shape.
