So looking at a 2023 and a 2021 ruby full stock what is the best lift kit to go with and how crazy to go?

Don't want to buy and be no good than buy again once and done .

How will you use your gladiator? What size tires will you be running?

I like the AEV spring lift with the front correction brackets for mild use and 37’s. I also kept the stock wheels and installed Baja Boss AT 37’s on the stock wheels and just added two washers behind the steering stops to eliminate any rubbing. I also swapped the stock front track bar to an adjustable track bar to center the axle.

If you don’t keep the stock lower front control arms, you will likely need to buy new rims or run wheel spacers…extra money.

I also added a Terri flex 1” spacer up front to level the Gladiator with the aftermarket front bumper and Warn 12S winch. My Gladiator is a mild build…

If you are going to run 35’s, just add a spacer lift. New wheels are personal choice. I’ve built a lot of rigs, from hand built 3-link/4-link, built frames from scratch, stretched frames, etc, so I’m familiar with mild builds and wild builds. Be realistic about your use case and build accordingly…your bank account will thank you…

I have a 2023 Gladiator Rubicon with a RC 3.5 inch lift with the new front and rear springs, front and rear RC track bars, RC front control arm relocation brackets, RC dual steering stabilizer with V2 shocks, and V2 front and rear V2 shocks. I have had no issues and the ride is stock, I take this rig offroad on weekends and drive it to work during the week.

I have a '21 diesel Rubicon and went with the Metalcloak 2.5" gamechanger kit with the Rocksport Red shocks. The ride is excellent, the quality of the parts is outstanding, and everything just went together without a hassle. Metalcloak has excellent customer service too, if I ever have any questions about what option to order or any questions about the installation I can call them up and get answers.

This kit moves the shocks outboard a little, so the OE wheels don't clear. If you are going to 35"-37" tires you will probably want new wheels anyway to get a wider rim and open up more tire choices.

One thing to know if you are installing on a diesel: the passenger upper control arm mount on the chassis side is a PITA to get off. The bolt will not come out because the exhaust is in the way. Have a sawsall ready to cut the OE bolt in half to remove it. MC gives you a replacement that you can slide in from the outboard side with ease. I have no idea why Jeep installed that OE bolt in the worst way possible, just flipping it the other way would have made that UCA much easier to service/replace.

To run 35's on a Rubi, you need nothing. They'll work.

To run 37's on a Rubi you need just a little, like 2" spacers up front and shock extensions.

Now, what you WANT to do is a different story. If you WANT a lift, then make sure you get a COMPLETE lift, adjustable control arms for front and rear, sway bar end links front and rear, adjustable track bar up front, minimum of a track bar relocation bracket for rear (or another adjustable track bar) shocks they recommend for the lift kit, springs of course, maybe a carrier bearing spacer for rear depending how high you go, bump stop extensions front and rear.

Not included in a lift, but necessary if you're going to be bouncing off road are beefier tie rod bar and drag link bar.

The only problem so far was the heating element on the DEF feed line failed over the winter, so the line had to be replaced.

Good advice. The only thing I’d offer a different view on is the control arms needed for a shorter 2-3” or so lift. You might be able to get away with just a front set and leave the rear stock. Mine is like this for 60k miles now. But it hasn’t been wheeled.
