I am looking for ideas and suggestions for adding backup lights to my rear Metalcloak bumper. I recently had to replace my stock steel bumper due to a lady backing into me in a parking lot. I went with the Metalcloak bumper to match my front bumper I put on a few years ago. I had installed the Oracle reverse lights on the old bumper and had grown to really enjoy the extra lighting I had while backing up. Not sure if someone has installed some type of lighting on this bumper before but thought I would ask and see.

Thanks for any help!

On my first Gladiator, in 2019, I found a bracket that attached to the bumper bolt and hung down just below the bumper. I installed a KC Reverse Lights set and used some Curt adapters to connect it to the Tow Wiring.

Cut holes in the bumper and mount surface mount offroad lights in the areas outlined in red. (Unless that's where the frame rails are.) If the frame rails are in those locations, get rid of those terrible stock tow hooks and put them there.

Didn't think about this, good idea. I guess I will either have to find a bracket or get one made. Thanks!

This is the set I purchased in 2019. The company is still around. You might contact them and see if they are still available.

My rear bumper has a cut out for cube lights, so I’m not help there, but I intentionally mounted mine to my aux switches. They’re really bright, even when angled down as far as I can, and I didn’t want for them to come on automatically in reverse and blind pedestrians every time I go into reverse. It’s my daily driver.

Thanks. Looks like EAG just has an Amazon Storefront. I will see what I can track down!

Thanks for the reply. I thought about removing the hooks, but I kind of like them. There are brackets that could work, so maybe if I get desperate enough I might try that. I do not want to remove the bumper again if I can help it, it was kind of a pain to install.

You could always add shackles using the bolts that hold the bumper on the frame. I've seen them before, and they don't look bad.

2 options also, someone makes a lis e se plate frame with white reverse lights - I installed on my wife’s bmw
And then there was a option that attaches a bracket to the tow recipe er adding to very bright reverse lights
I will try to find the links for both of those later tonight

Thanks for all the suggestions everyone. After some searching and not finding any brackets I had decided to make my own. Starting with a 3D print then looking for someone to cut me out the brackets but I think I found a better option.

Ended up going with the C1R + Brake Hitch Mount light from Diode Dynamics https://www.diodedynamics.com/hitchmount-led-pod-reverse-kit.html

Took maybe 5 minutes to install. Hopefully it's a good replacement, though I doubt it will be as bright as the Oracle lights I had prior.
