Saw my first Grenadier this weekend - impressed and disappointed.

I was at Barrett Jackson Palm Beach this weekend and while walking out I saw a Grenadier in the parking lot right as the couple was climbing in. Conversation happened and I was given a tour. Cool vehicle and super nice couple! The interior looked amazing, seats, dash, etc. I loved the skylights above the driver / passenger seats. The dash and center console had more buttons than airplanes I've flown. Did I mention how cool the skylights were? Sharp looking vehicle.

That said, the vehicle looked 20 years old. The paint, the plastics, the trim, all looked like hell. Serious fade and sunburn was very apparent (exterior only, interior looked brand new). The exterior was so bad that it is the forefront impression I walked away with.

Cool vehicle. I like it. I hope they get some sunburn control online especially if they want to sell them in South Florida.

Sun burn? It had clear coat damage or just needed some paint correction? Sun burned to me means the the clear coat is gone and it needs paint work.

The paint was dulled, it just looked old. The plastics / trim were chalky. The vehicle just looked old on the exterior - like it's been parked outside for 15 years.

Interesting. I see a lot of them in the Atlanta metro area and I’ve never seen that. The sun isn’t that much different.

Yeah for all I know, this dude treats his vehicles like shit. I was just excited to see a Grenadier - hopefully that was an anomaly on the paint / trim.

They’re nice. Even though that BMW powertrain is solid, my concern is dealer support. Also, since they’re really expensive. What’s resale value going to be like? I feel like the resale value could go either way.
