I think 40lbs for a light mount might be a bit excessive haha
true, but Ill admit i like the functionality of it. adding grab handles on ti is pretty unique and I like that.

that contraption is $230.00 more lol.....
And this is the reason I would not get it.

In the end, its just not what I'm looking for, I simply cant bring my self to like the way it attached to the Jeep. It looks like Fab Four and Polaris had a love child who grew up to design it but only after getting hit in the head by a Dana 60.

the rest of it looks great and I love the fact that it has handles on it.

Better believe it. lets just say I was on a budget but they worked out beautifully. I get there are more expensive options out there but I never had a problem with these. One or two of the diodes might go out but it still threw out a great light and if it got too bad, you just replace it. The price has gone up significantly on these since I built mine.
I ran Nilights too. I had the same red lights. They turned to pink after about a month. I also had some 4 inch lights that after the first rain storm filled with water. The 42" light bar was the same. After the first rain it was filled with condensation behind the glass that never evaporated. Great cheap alternative and your right the the light output is great. The 7" lights were a little more water proof and better quality but still faded to pink rather quickly.

So I had the same thing happen. I actually took them apart and repainted them then added a UV clear coat. the result was what's in the picture that was taken 7 years later. they held up great.

Did you end up finding a light bracket that worked?

Yes and no.

I did end up finding a solid one by metal cloak but, they are really proud of it and it was out of my price range.

so, I spend 3X what they wanted and got the Maximus 3 sports rack instead and mounted some lights up there. it actually worked out because now I've turned it into something completely unique that I have yet seen replicated on any other Gladiator and I absolutely love it.

I have a post here if you want to see the finished product.

If I'm not mistaken, they style I was originally looking for is a little more popular as I know of at least one more manufacturer that makes them, but they are still pricey.
