My son's father-in-law is selling his Jeep, I told him I would post it up here to see what the Jeep experts think what he should be asking for it. It's been garage kept last 10 years since he's owned it and he has only put on 10K miles on it in the last 10 years. Seems to be in really good shape, he says the only think not functional is the heater. Here are some picture. Thanks in advance for helping out.

If the heater core is clogged/leaking and needs replacing, that is going to a be whole dash pull usually to address that. That is going to impact value the most if not address before point of sale.

I have been looking at TJs in NJ over the past 6 months and the prices vary a lot. The market here may be different than Florida, but the biggest factors are:
1. Rust on frame and floor pans - Check under carpets, undercarriage, around body mounts and frame especially in the back. If there is significant rust and it has not been repaired, it will be difficult to sell, no matter how nice the Jeep looks and how well it runs.
2. Mechanical problems - has it been well maintained and do engine and trans run well? As Hootbro said, the heater core is going to drop the price. Better to repair it and then list the TJ
3. Mileage - very low mileage and in mint condition, people ask a ton. On the other end, once it gets into the 200k+ range, the price drops a lot. So, 166k is in the middle and as long as it runs great and is well maintained, isn't too bad.

The below estimates are around what I would pay and/or have had the opportunity to buy from looking at TJs around here.(minus #1 which is near impossible to find in NJ):
1. Top price for this(If no rust, no mechanical problems and you fix the heater core) would be around $12-14k.
2. Without the heater core repaired and otherwise the same - probably closer to $9-10k
3. If frame rust but it has had professionally done rust repair - around $7-8k
4. If rust and/or mechanical problems - probably $5k or less to sell it and it will be difficult to sell
