So I am a cheap ass, and found some like new wheels that came with tires I were told were pretty good. I got there after my travel (luckily not super super far), and the tires are ok, but a bit less than it appeared for tread wear. 2 are decent, 2 are like maybe 5/32. Anyway, wear looks fairly even but they ride like complete donkey butt. Glad I offered them 200 less than they were asking as I still feel I got a pretty good deal.

I decided to air them down from whatever they had them inflated up to, and took them down to 30psi. I havent rode on them yet since. (37x12.5x17 Cooper Discoverer STT Pro). Anyways, I know they are a mud tire, but these bring out all the rattles in my truck at slow to stop speeds.

What are the most common rattle points on these trucks that I can go under and look at. I know probably heat shields. What else. Ive had 37 MT's before but these are annoying compared to what im used to. If i can fix the rattles at slow speeds maybe i can enjoy them what little life they have left.

Any areas that are rattle prone that most people wouldnt think to check?

Maybe exhaust system.

I suspect though that you should start saving for new tires.

Hard top? After some particularly rough off toad trails in Moab, I had rattles galore. I found all the bolts around the back of the top on needed a full turn or more to snug them up. Solved the problem.

Agree with cb4017.. experience has been at the tires, AT and MTs wear down they get more Noisy .. At 5/32's Yep More Noise. Being MTs, perhaps the tread pattern and wear are the culpit for the shake.

Well the couple things I did, did not fix the noises. I went back and checked torque on suspension components I could think of. When I hit the catalytic converters with a mattle that is a vibration rattle, especially the passenger side one. It doesnt seem to be the heatshield thats wrapped around it either. The driver side one doesnt have much of a shield on it.

Is this a troll? You bought worn out M/Ts. 5/32 right? And they’re shaking your Jeep causing rattles? Aggressive tires like that suck later in life unless they were rotated every oil change, never abused, and never out of balance or alignment. 5/32 is where they really start sucking if any of those items were not done or out of spec. I forgot tire pressure.

Why would this be a troll? My 2020 had not one bit of clanking or rattle with big clunky 37 maxxis razr MT. I feel this 2025 is kind of sketch since I purchased it. It’s been thing after thing so far.
The vehicle and items under it should not be clanging and rattling even at a slow vibration. It sounds like something is loose and I’ve checked all I can think of. I understand it can be a rough or choppy ride, but not sounding like something is gonna fall off underneath.
The tires are just temporary for now and make me realize how much more I miss the 2020 max tow vs the 2025 rubicon quality so far.

Each and every tire has its own characteristics - including - when they ’wear’.

You’re trying to fix the jeep, when in reality
.you should fix the tires.
If the tires are causing that much ‘vibrations’ - it’s not good overall regardless of how much tightening you do on the JT. Some parts are meant to have ‘give’.

Did you ask the guy “Why are you selling them?”

Unless you’re changing to a different tire size
people generally don’t change tires out prematurely without a ’reason’.

It wasn’t just tires. It was a girl who wanted to go with a different wheel and smaller tire. They actually ride decent at up to speed. I purchased the wheels and tires all together. Mainly for the wheels. The tires were just an add on to get a few more miles out of them. But there was already some
Banging and clanging at times before the tires were in the equation.
