Look, I love RealTruck and bought all of my steps from you. So, I’m not gonna take you up on the offer to help in every step. We would be on the phone for two days during install with me screaming ā€œMy knuckles!ā€ And various curse words all while you kept thinking ā€œThis guy can’t be this stupid?ā€

Just kidding. Install was easy and fun.

I looked but I can not find Gladiator specific pictures of the Ionic boards in the "up" or retracted position. I'm specifically interested in how much the motors/arms hang down when they are retracted. The Real Truck steps the dealer put on my Gladiator when I bought it (supposed to be Amp Research but say Real Truck on the arms) don't fit well. I don't find any pictures on the Real Truck site that look like what I received, either. I would really like a picture of the Ionic boards in that position to compare to whatever it is the dealer put on my Gladiator.

The AMP Research Powersteps are likely what you received. We've rebadged some products with the RealTruck logo, including the Powersteps.

For Jeep models, both the Ionic Electric running boards and the AMP Research Powersteps are going to be a bit "thicker" and not as slim as the ones you see on a F150 or Tacoma. This is an intentional design to match the body of the Jeep. I don't have a vehicle specific pic of these installed on a Jeep, but here is a diagram of the Ionic steps so that you can see how the step, arm, and motor are oriented.

If you want a second opinion on your current steps, DM me some pics. I'll take a look at them and figure out what's going on.
