We have a few Jeep clubs around here. I call them dinner clubs. They get together for dinner once a month, and then on a weekend they get together and drive to lunch.

And then on occasion they do a charity event.

And on rare occasion they go camping or something, or drive three states away to go offroad because there isn't much for offroading in Louisiana.

Not that I'm saying that's a bad thing - I just don't have the time for that / not interested personally. I was in it for a few years and grew out of it.

Rather be fishing, exploring outside, doing my own thing - whatever.

Anyway as far as events most hyped for in '26 - well I am pretty excited to load the truck up and take the kids and the fiance and my mom to Grand Isle and do some crabbing for a couple days. That will be in mid June...
We did attend several local ā€˜dinner meetups’ and/or ā€˜ice cream socials’ ….. but it was obvious majority of the folks all knew each-other. My husband and I aren’t ones to barge into other folks business or barge into their group conversations. We kept to ourselves & nobody even noticed we were there.

No harm no foul....... It wasn't meant to be. We found other hobbies & folks to hang with.

Have yet to do any real jeeping, was waiting impatiently for my boys to get a bit older. The top and doors have been off plenty, but no offroad fun yet

Finally the year and we're planning a silver lake trip this summer

I made several good friends there and still talk to some of them - my life is just too busy for ice cream socials several times a month šŸ˜„

We're halfway through the year now! What was your favorite Jeep event so far, and what's still on your calendar for the rest of 2026?
